So, head on head is a red card for one of the heads, or maybe a red card each?

Arguing with a ref can produce a remarkable change in perception of infringements.

Hands and eyes; how concerned should the ref be?
Hmm, tricky one. I guess it depends on who the officials are. In recent games, one player was injured, apparently due to finger/s in the eye, and medical attention needed; no infringement. In another game, investigation showed finger over eye, no medical attention needed?, but it was a red card beca...

Re: France 🇫🇷 Vs Cymru 🏴 6 Nations Thread
The game was lost over the last 10 mins when France showed some belief and Wales panicked and crumbled. Just didn’t manage to hold it together, or maybe risking pens seemed the best option. Over the ball carrier with hands on the floor has been pinged many times. Great game.

Gatland is going to find it difficult to justify many England players in the Lions after this 6N. Poor play plus penalty machines.

Re: 6N R4. ENGLAND vs FRANCE. Sat, 16:45
Great game. Two moments of brain fartery by Dulin changed the momentum to England. Just a comment on the turnovers in the tackle area. The ref got the last Earl one correct, but there were a couple earlier in the game, that in the SH, the refs would have penalized against the defending player as th...

Re: 23 seconds from ‘have a word’ to ‘time on’
Can a team captain simply ignore a ref instruction to talk to his team? of course he can - you can't force someone to talk to people. So Farrell went along with the ref. whose response was to stuff his team? Look you were beaten by a much better team get over it . It wasn't a 1 scorre game like whe...

Re: 23 seconds from ‘have a word’ to ‘time on’
This does not look like a 'we thought they were going to kick at goal' scenario to me. England were not prepared for any scenario. When I did my ref training long, long ago I was taught that the three guiding principles were, in order, safety, equity, application of the law. Putting aside safety, i...

Re: 23 seconds from ‘have a word’ to ‘time on’
Can a team captain simply ignore a ref instruction to talk to his team? 0 Has any side had more of a charmed run than this Wales side in the Six Nations? It's like the Springboks at a world cup. I love it when a few bitter tears get shed so long after the event. Re: 23 seconds from ‘have a word’ to ‘time on’
23 secs is more than enough to follow the ref’s instruction to communicate with team In a meaningful way. Maybe forwards will think before charging into the ruck shoulder first. How else you're suppose to shift bodies? Legally? Do you think players deliberately went out to get a red card? Those hits happen all the time, sometimes the victim may dip his head or change position prior to collision. In fac...
