Long pass for Wasps try ‘clearly’ forward. Officials have no problem!!!

Re: fairness of refs in rugby?

Arguing with a ref can produce a remarkable change in perception of infringements.

Ah he wasnt really. He was cleared out. Mad shit like that happens in rugby and lads get out with it. Not at the top level anymore of course. They all know that if you milk it the TMO will look. They spring up right after of course. Rugby has no cornered market on decency anymore. Every side has la...

Re: Stopping the clock for scrums and resets.

It can’t get more obvious that if the ball is going to be brought back into play with a scrum then scrums and resets and resets have to be completed sharpish. Otherwise, if the ball is out of play, why should the clock not be stopped? There is also a case for stopping the clock when the ball is out ...

Re: Gouge someones eyes...blame it on the opposition

As far as red card offences are concerned, fingers on / in the eyes has to be high on the list. The TMO drew the ref’s attention to it and they agreed it was beyond a YC.

Hands and eyes; how concerned should the ref be?

Hmm, tricky one. I guess it depends on who the officials are. In recent games, one player was injured, apparently due to finger/s in the eye, and medical attention needed; no infringement. In another game, investigation showed finger over eye, no medical attention needed?, but it was a red card beca...

Re: France 🇫🇷 Vs Cymru 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 6 Nations Thread

The game was lost over the last 10 mins when France showed some belief and Wales panicked and crumbled. Just didn’t manage to hold it together, or maybe risking pens seemed the best option. Over the ball carrier with hands on the floor has been pinged many times. Great game.

Oh look, thing that happens 8 times per game but is never penalised goes against Italy I agree that Italy are over reffed. Cowardly reffing otherwise. Ruck clear-out by Italy no wrap and head contact- penalty only - over reffed  Italy being down to 12 ? might have had an influence.

Re: Why did Brace reverse the penalty at the end?

Was a really interesting call from Brace. He got it wrong first time round, but I don't think I've ever seen a pen reversal for a technical offence after it's already been called then shown on screen. We could have reversals after a sizable minority of turnover and ruck pens during the course of an...
