Re: NZ hosting Australia 2024- Cricket series thread
300+ minimum I reckon and realistically 350+. The positive is that it’s doing a bit with the new ball. Matt Henry is the big hope with the ball. As I type this Blundell has gifted his wicket away. :x He needs to be flayed for that. Shocking shot. Seems symptomatic of the general batting attitude. H...

Re: NZ hosting Australia 2024- Cricket series thread
Unless the Phillips and Henry slogs come off I can't see us leaving a decent chase. Reckon we need a 300+ lead. As it is we could be all out for 330 Not all is lost yet. It is the new ball which was always going to be a challenge, see this off and we can accumulate for a bit. I reckon we need 350

I work at a computer chip manufacturer. During Covid a lot of people at the coalface found they were a lot more productive as they weren't being called into meetings by middle management who use meetings to justify their existence. Will still be need for people at the coalface to do practical jobs ...

Jesus mate, that's rough. I could be dreaming but I'm sure I remember you getting married. Maybe not, I've been looking at this place for 25 years now. Anyway you've always struck me as an intelligent and earnest bloke in the true aussie tradition. Treasure your time and memories and know life goes...

Re: anyone else mentally struggle in their 40's ?
I've found a daily fitness routine has greatly helped my mental heath. I have a pretty stressful job and have always been a bit stressed out. I have found that focusing on my health goals has had a hugely positive impact on my overall life. I'm 44 years old and am now more jacked and stronger than ...

Not sure if this is the right spot but it’s going here. When I was 39 my wife was diagnosed with stage 4 bowel cancer (it was found on her 37th birthday). The cancer had spread to her liver but the doctors felt it was still operable. She had 12 weeks of chemo and then had a life saving operation sc...

Bowling let us down today. Not a terrible effort though, India are very hard to beat in India. Yeah bowlers a bit long in the tooth combined with India's amazing batting depth. Pity they didn't get the credit for the world cup they actually f*cking won. Still though, loving cricket at the moment, t...

They are an amazing batting lineup to watch.

Our bowlers are just too old (and shit) these days.
Also fielding first on the surface of the sun in choking smog, dodging insects the size of sparrows with circa 475,000 indians baying for your blood doesn't help

Shame to see Gill go off like that he was playing brilliantly. Surely can't just be cramp, must be a hammy, calf or knee or something.
Would be a big asterisk if we ended up pulling this one out of the fire somehow.
