You’d enjoy these sketches from RTE comedy series the Savage Eye, DAC. No longer running. These 3 are about Cavan people who have a bit of reputation in Ireland. Cavan a county in the province of Ulster, but in the ROI. https://youtu.be/h8fITzlPgA0 https://youtu.be/cfuHXYHskNQ https://youtu.be/d3NL...

Re: Would the English support a Lions team with no England players?

But, but...I don’t understand....We are constantly told that the UK is a happy union of Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland, and England (though not usually said in that order), and that the whole represents all of the parts, so why wouldn’t the English support a team that represents them?

I think that it is a crap deterrent and so many of its advocates confuse it with their own revulsion for the ‘deserving’ crime, hence such suggestions (and not just suggestions sometimes!) of crucifixion or burning alive. What is interesting is that when it comes to how humans in general kill other ...

A somewhat contrived joke, but in the high likelihood of a Spanish speaking country having a player called Jesus, would he ever be described as nailed on?

What about, instead of using it as a deterrent, use it as a way of protecting the public? I mean those that are imprisoned until they die, no chance for parole? Offer it to them as an alternative to dying in prison. Those that think they have a chance of getting out again, because they believe they ...

Second place, Dulin for not kicking away the ball to win the game for France. The repugnicans are really going to lose their shit once William gets coronated, there will be 6 months celebrations and a feel-good factor that you will be able to measure from the moon. ‘Coronated’ according to a quick google search is a real word.
