Re: The Australian Politics Thread
Albanese could have countered Dutton et al's critique of The Voice with boringly functional descriptions of the limits of that proposed body's powers but instead he preferred to crap on about his Big Feelings on the matter... Governments propose, Oppositions oppose. Albo did not make the case for t...

Albo is on the way down. We are looking at a hung parliament soon. Some of the TEALS will lose their seats, the Greens will grow in strength. Chalmers is making all the running for the Government. Are these long range predictions for the next election? The SMH are ripping into Albo for swanning aro...

Re: Wallabies 2024 (2023 never happened)
Regardless, Toole is significantly bigger than Kolbe, so I’m keen to learn from those stating definitively that Toole if Kolbe is too also small to make it as a professional player. And how would Kolbe go as a Wallaby winger? He’s the best winger in the world, so I dare say he’d be fantastic. Or am...

The Reds were terrible, almost without exception.
Great to see another NSW reject in Tizzano doing well. Not to mention Eastwood product Nick White.
And Donaldson was outstanding. HMP did okay when he came on, but it was all over by then.
Simon Cron shows why he is one of our best coaches.

Re: Wallabies 2024 (2023 never happened)
I don’t think we can blame any Oz player that goes overseas - RA apparently don’t have money for market competitive contracts, but they do have $1.6m a year for a league bloke…… The players must be filthy. So far we’ve lost Marky and Perese, with the expectation that others are on their way. It has...

Or if you old enough to remember them, Ken Catchpole and Phil Hawthorne. I decided to chase up ancient film / video of the the pair and found this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jdxTB88eBqE&t=2s I'm scratching my head a bit about the jersey numbering, tho'. I'm suspecting this - 1967 - was before...

For the Wobs... Front row: Rodriguez, Lawton, McIntyre Second row: Eales, Giffen Back row: Kefu, Smith, Finegan Halves: NFJ, Lynagh Centres: Horan, Little Back 3: Roff, Tune, Burke Tempted to go Cutler and Williams for the second row, they were pretty dominant in the 80s, in the line out at least. ...

Corruption was rampant back then, everywhere you looked. Illegal casinos, SP betting, sly grog shops (we had 6 pm closing).
The cops were the worst of the lot.

Great work wamberal, you're definitely very active! The majority of my friends are dead. Why the focus on isometric stuff? Not a focus, it is an add on. Just gives me a bit more activity. (It is recommended by a Professor Gordon Lynch, we have been listening to his programme on the ABC for years.)

 Sounds a lot to me. I wear a Garmin watch that tracks my steps and most days my goal is only 6k-7k. Unless I make a conscious decision to go for a decent walk I rarely achieve that except on the days I play golf. So hitting 15-20k consistently sounds very impressive to me. How is your blo...

Re: Yeah, don't fly boeing planes at the moment
There was a segment on morning tv interviewing one of the passengers. From what he said, this is potentially serious. According to him, the plane lost power and dived for a minute or so. Passengers hit the ceiling. He was half asleep and belted up, apparently. He spoke to some of the flight crew aft...

Great game though - what a night for excellent rugby. Done by a committed side and the crazy bounce of a rugby ball. Pity it wasn't a night for excellent refereeing. I thought the refs were very positive in all 3 games I watched this morning. Added to great spectacles. I wonder how positive Tom Lyn...

But of course they are both imports, unfortunately.
