However, if the aim is to eliminate high shots, we should consider eliminating tackles above the waist. Why not? We eliminated shoulder charges, and the game did not suffer.

I was being facetious. I was at the 1973 Grand Final, when John Nicholls, Carlton's captain coach was king hit in full view of 110,000 spectators. Great fun if you were a Richmond supporter. And of course they went on to win the flag. :?

Oh, and the farking rules have to be changed. 20 minutes for a red, unless there is an instance of deliberate foul play which could result in injury to a player.

It's pretty obvious that none of you whingers played back when the referee was the sole judge of everything, the touch judges were supplied by the two teams and only adjudicated the sidelines and goal kicks. So anything that happened out of the referee's vision was okay.

Rennie is the head coach. The full coaching team looks as competent as we can hope for, IMHO. Do they all get sacked if Rennie goes?

Our domestic game is in a state of flux, changing coaches now or even in the next year or so would be totally idiotic.
