Re: Wallabies 2024 (2023 never happened)
He's been garbage for a while. I'm against picking him at test level. He bring zero physicality. There's Bell and day light between the rest of loosehead props. And Faessler will be the starting hooker I reckon. Bell's out. Probably for the season. Maybe for longer.

Re: U.S. politics thread and Joe Biden-the Ronan O'Gara of U.S. Presidents
Just when you start to lose faith in the USA, you’re reminded that this is the greatest civilisation in the history of mankind ‘Greatest’ used, intended in its literal meaning rather than simply as a superlative Those Founders knew a thing or two, god bless ‘em. I am finding that becoming an Origin...

Re: Listen to your body
Discharged from hospital yesterday and told to be a good boy and stay at home doing SFA for the next two weeks. Bloody hell it is lovely to be back home. Maybe just a bit of gentle walking, and/or some isometric exercises? I am not an authority, but I am pretty sure it would be better to do somethi...

Re: SRP Rd 9 - Reds v Highlanders
When my eldest was in U12 they got this new coach in and he made them do a prayer circle before and after every training session and game. Weird. That is weird. Lots of Pasifika lads there? Or more of your Christian Brothers oldskool? Nah, almost all Pasifika or Kiwis. The coach who I first saw doi...

I have just sent an email to the father of one of the Westfield victims. I went to school with him. Frankly I cannot understand some of the opinions and comments on this thread.

Re: Pushing 80 now
Is that true? So not the NZ rivalry... but rather Fijian tours saved the day? To be fair.. they probably were fantastic to watch. Did they play Australia as well? And did they win? This is back in the days when rugby was a pretty slow game, and as a sport was up against league which was overwhelmin...

Re: Pushing 80 now
Sort of comforting. I have had a few problems. But nothing too serious. That said I do a lot of "maintenance". On the body of course. And always a positive outlook... or so it seems to an outsider. Can't have been easy supporting the Wallabies at least the last ten years. I grew up loving...

Re: Wallabies 2024 (2023 never happened)
Mungo Mark has been dropped from the Tahs squad for their game this week... Mentally checked out before the season began. Is it just me or has his form been poor this year? He was one of the best players in Australia in the previous couple of years and then he went downhill after signing with Mungo...

I was talking to some Jewish friends last night, they and their friends are all extremely unhappy that this awful war has not been finished, and Bibi put in gaol where he belongs.

Albanese could have countered Dutton et al's critique of The Voice with boringly functional descriptions of the limits of that proposed body's powers but instead he preferred to crap on about his Big Feelings on the matter... Governments propose, Oppositions oppose. Albo did not make the case for t...

Albo is on the way down. We are looking at a hung parliament soon. Some of the TEALS will lose their seats, the Greens will grow in strength. Chalmers is making all the running for the Government. Are these long range predictions for the next election? The SMH are ripping into Albo for swanning aro...

Re: Wallabies 2024 (2023 never happened)
Regardless, Toole is significantly bigger than Kolbe, so I’m keen to learn from those stating definitively that Toole if Kolbe is too also small to make it as a professional player. And how would Kolbe go as a Wallaby winger? He’s the best winger in the world, so I dare say he’d be fantastic. Or am...

The Reds were terrible, almost without exception.
Great to see another NSW reject in Tizzano doing well. Not to mention Eastwood product Nick White.
And Donaldson was outstanding. HMP did okay when he came on, but it was all over by then.
Simon Cron shows why he is one of our best coaches.

Re: Wallabies 2024 (2023 never happened)
I don’t think we can blame any Oz player that goes overseas - RA apparently don’t have money for market competitive contracts, but they do have $1.6m a year for a league bloke…… The players must be filthy. So far we’ve lost Marky and Perese, with the expectation that others are on their way. It has...

I decided to chase up ancient film / video of the the pair and found this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jdxTB88eBqE&t=2s I'm scratching my head a bit about the jersey numbering, tho'. For the Wobs... Front row: Rodriguez, Lawton, McIntyre Second row: Eales, Giffen Back row: Kefu, Smith, Finegan Halves: NFJ, Lynagh Centres: Horan, Little Back 3: Roff, Tune, Burke Tempted to go Cutler and Williams for the second row, they were pretty dominant in the 80s, in the line out at least. ...
