Re: Round 2: All Blacks vs Springboks: MATCH THREAD: Sept 13

You do know that SARU had to pay a lot of money to be part of the URC? They are now only full partners. So their strategy worked out? Good for them but don’t cry about it. We dont cry about it. Soup is dead to us. The cry come from NZ. You were the one that posted an article about the SARU presiden...

But even then isn't that going to encourage top players to leave? At the moment only Mounga who would still be picked is overseas.. and he's coming back... so why encourage more top players to leave? I don't understand the thinking... as I said.. if we have players like Ardie, Jordan and Roigard go...

He was the president. In business the CEO take that punishment for bad decisions. Vok, he could just made a phone call to his partner. Is that to difficult? How could it have been stopped? Probably true, but national pride doesn't feed your family . Anyway, that ship has sailed, what can we do now? - Promote the game better at junior level to increase player numbers. - Decide once and for all between Super Rugby and NPC, we can't afford both. - Never make the ABs unavailable for our ...

He'll be almost 39 at the next World Cup... I’m not talking about the cup, I’m talking about right now being down to our 4th choice 9. This naive approach is typical of the eligibility-rules bashers. Hasn't done them any harm to chase the money. In professional sport, it's the right thing to do. Yeah but the victim complex gets tiring. Agreed, but that is something the Kiwis do very well also. If you allow selection of players from overseas, then more players will go overseas, therefore making you more reliant on overseas players. It’s circular.

We can infer that Razor rates Cotter as the best coach in Super Rugby. After all, Cotter won a championship (by a big margin) without any starting All Blacks at all. He really is a miracle worker. Perhaps he could be brought in as head coach with his own choice of assistants and Razor could be a “D...

Nah. Just completely ignore like 1/3 of the country, she’ll be right.

In saying that, having Christie and Beauden pinned in their own half for most of a match felt very familiar as a Blues supporter.

OK, so what do we think Razor is doing wrong? With Foster you could see a consistently poor game plan being repeated over and over, the infamous "fossie ball". And a tendency to screw players around resulting ina team that rarely felt settled. What is the Razor equivalent of those things? Box kicks...

If that pass from Ardie to the winger at the start of the second half didn't go forward.. and NZ score... The All Blacks wont consistently beat the Boks and the other first choice packs until we can go through them. Making game plans to go wide and run around the rush defence is like admitting defeat before kick off. Need to change the mentality to head-on.

Re: Round 2: All Blacks vs Springboks: MATCH THREAD: Sept 13

I'm very optimistic about our chances in Wellington. The AB's were under immense pressure at Eden Park. All the pressure was on the AB's to retain their 50 test streak of not losing at Eden park, and the Springboks would have targeted this test all year. That pressure has now been lifted. Not only ...

Embarrassing barely describes it. Congrats Boks. Just no answer and light years ahead. This result is going to cause serious problems for a long time, there’s no bouncing back from that and I can see the All Blacks being utterly terrified of having to face the Boks again for at least a few seasons....
