Re: Razor out!!

Where are all the leicester fainga'anuku critics now ? Could it be that he’s an improved player since his NH residency ? Certainly looks it to me . I'll put my hand up and say i'm still not sold. I've never had a issue with his go forward but with his distribution and defence. I'm still on the fenc...

The ABs at their absolute peak used to regularly go north and go toe to toe with the opposition for 60 minutes, containing them, working them out and wearing them down before unleashing the impact and blowing them away in the fourth quarter, and that was against teams that were objectively worse th...

MrB - you are your own worst enemy sometimes... I still support Razor, but that first hour was cack... Devlin is calling it the worst performance of Razor's reign.. Jesus Christ on a Roman cross, where do I even start with this? I mean, this opening — this so-called opening — it hits you like a wet sponge to the face. “The forest stretched endlessly, a wall of black pines clawing at the gray sky.” Oh, I see. Yep. Clawing. Gray sky. Oh, fantastic. I can literall...

Bro, the bush just went on forever, eh. Proper wall of black pines reachin’ up into that miserable grey sky. Vivus was sloggin’ through the mud, boots stickin’ every step. The river was way back now, and all them flash Roman roads were history. Just bush and more bloody bush ahead — wild as, ready t...

What do you mean? I mean, given his selection record, he was always going to pull Caleb back into the team ahead of Leicester. Its how he treats his players with respect, so any "OMG he dropped Leicester" talk is bollocks. Caleb was in, he did well but got injured, so he gets another crack. Yep TED...

JGP at his best definitely is. Is Clarke back in vogue? I'd have BB, although fading, JB and WJ as clearly better. Don't know Carter or Tupaea well enough to judge. You won't know TOB, I'm guessing. He's an excellent player who'd have a lot more caps but for injury after injury but because of all t...

It's such a relief that none of the crybaby posters on this thread are anywhere near the AB selection table. Re: All Blacks 2025

Either: The selectors are extremely conservative and fearful, or don’t have an eye for talent or don’t trust themselves to develop that talent.

OR: Our system just doesn’t produce potential world class young talent like (Carter, McCaw, Beauden etc.) anymore.

Either scenario is very concerning.

Something I liked was the low kicking game in the second half to keep them playing in their own half in the wet. The All Blacks were looking pretty poor until the head of god try but they adapted well to the change in conditions. Here’s hoping for rain on the EOYT.

Re: Dead Bled, Live RC: WALLABIES v ALL BLACKS, Perth, 2025

I think people should stop obsessing about the numbers on the jerseys of the backs. The number on the jerseys aren't going to correlate with where players are positioned at every facet. Keeping in mind that Jordie Barrett played at 14 in defense in Bledisloe 1, with Carter defending in the centre's...

He also has a hint of bogan about him and its important to reflect our diverse Kiwi communities. Carter looks farken good and should stay in the starting team as long as he’s unbroken physically or suffers a stupendous loss of form. His defence is excellent and he looks to be a very good finisher. ...

I really wonder how much he benefited from the genius of Wayne Smith at the Chiefs. Didn't he win two titles with Smith assisting him? You can think ruck speed is more important than back row balance, lineouts, post contact metres or dominant tackles amongst other metrics, but I think you might find you're in the minority there. This is false. I think ruck speed should be given more importance than it currently is. Do you grasp th...

Sititi needs to be dropped. This year Sititi hasn't played anywhere near the level he did last year. However, that's understandable given the injuries he's had. I can't see this coaching team doing a U-turn and picking the number 8 that should have been picked last year. That boat has sailed. We’re...

What might have happened in the first game if the Boks got more pay from their dominant scrum and their line out didn’t malfunction? Nothing went their way that game so they didn’t get going until 60 min. Had they played that way for 80 they would have won. There is some fanciful bullshit on the NZ...

I thought the All Blacks were doing pretty well until about 35minute mark. Attacking lineout about 10m out from Boks line, lineout throw with no jumper straight to Boks. Possibly some darks arts from Boks to hold down our jumper. That would have been a critical point before halftime with the Boks do...

19 all blacks missed tackles with the 4 outsiders being De Groot, Newell, Lomax and Hotham. At that point you'd have to say the team are mentally fragile. Actually good shout.
