Re: Strictly Come Dancing 2020

Saturday's line up with dances and music. https://imagizer.imageshack.com/img923/531/lGlcys.jpg High standard in week 1. Nicola and Katya get the first "couples choice". Be interesting to see and compare the two Paso Dobles from Caroline and JJ. Crikey! Jacqui has got the Samba, arguably the most di...

Re: Red Bull Soapbox Race - PR Entry?

Well, that's a no then. I shall be going it alone with some chaps who do a bit of this and that. An opportunity missed. Lots of "no risk" takers on here. A big disappointment. I've got some titanium supply lined up. This ball is going to fly. Reckon two years to build. See me in the paddock.

Red Bull Soapbox Race - PR Entry?

Hi budding creative engineers. I might enter the competition. Following link is a bit long but very good fun. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZYqIMv_LApE Initial idea is a rugby ball (good aerodynamics) with some posts at the back for pushing. Ideas welcomed along with a willing driver! I'm too old ...

It appears they dropped in by heli. Apparently from Poole. If the tanker crew locked themselves away, be interesting how the stowaways could handle the VLCC! Those ruddy things take over a mile to stop if under full power. You avoid them like the plague in the Channel! Up to six miles I thought? Po...

How boring - couldn't you have stretched this out for a week I'll try. I happen to know a few of the SBS lads, not the likely fit youngsters who carried out the rescue! I was sailing my yacht (Mimosa) down Southampton water one day and all was quiet and peaceful. I heard a bit of a rumble behind, h...

Unsurprising but HRVY nudges Maisie to top spot. Caroline does exceptionally well and Jacqui lounges at the bottom.

Overall the standard was very high. No peoples vote till next week but the judges score rolls over.

Re: MS Flight Simulator - Manual

Ah. That went well.

On advice I downloaded it instead of buying it from Amazon with 10 DVDs and a manual. Advice said it wasn't a good thing to try the Amazon package but get it direct from MS as the former was unreliable.

This is going to take a bit of patience!

MS Flight Simulator - Manual Anyone got a link to a site or a PDF to download the manual? It's a bit long! Re: Spencer Davis - stopped running

Stevie Winwood carried the group. I was lucky enough to see Winwood perform earlier in the year, just before lockdown and the end of live concerts. He's still got it at 72. RIP Spencer. Inclined to agree. SW is one of my top 10 of all time but SD did form the group. RIP Big fan of Arc of a Diver. A...

Just to add, I thought Ashley Banjo was going to be the fourth judge but it was only Craig, Shirley and Motsi in the chairs.

Dave Arch is still going great guns.

Some of the background music for the pairs introductions was reall well chosen for the venues where they met.

I deduce you may have been in the services. If you knew Jim you would see how hilarious that deduction is. I don't. Do tell of the idiosycracy.
