Re: Das Boat Race
Surprised that Brazil and LP haven't been all over this. Double Cambridge win and at Ely, just down the road. I've sailed a dingy down that bit of water with a mate. Great going down with the sails up but getting back was a logistical nightmare involving the tow trailer. Could have watched the finis...

Re: Globus unwell
Hi PR Family I'm back home now after a lengthy stay in hospital. Thank you for your good wishes. No time to go into detail now. The Management knows more than me, she's been a brick. Still very weak, trying to build up my strength. I expect maybe another few weeks before I can stagger up to my study...

Thanks fans. Glad Bill won it. The oldest ever to boot.

Hope you enjoyed my feeble efforts to keep up.

Re: Strictly Come Dancing 2020
Well, my predicion has come true! Bit worried for Bill at the time but he's in the final with HRVY, Maisie and Jamie. Ranvir and Jamie into the dance off with very different dances. But it took Shirley to break a very close contest and Ranvir is going home. Week 9 is the final and three dances. I th...

Latest is that Bill and Oti collided with a camera which was filming close up.
I missed that but the eagle eyed picked it up.
Great that Dave Arch had a lot of fun with Metallica!

Semi finals - judges scores. https://imagizer.imageshack.com/img923/5346/UAuQTD.jpg Combined totals Maisie leads with 59 HRVY second with 53 Bill gets 48 Jamie the same with 48 HRVY Rumba was quite a let down. Poor Ranvir scraped a 18 with her jive. Bill's Tango to Metallica was a bit limp. Expected...

Re: Strictly Come Dancing 2020
Week 8 - Line up https://imagizer.imageshack.com/img922/6261/j8sEWd.jpg Too close to call. Betting odds favour Bill to win; Jamie and Ranvir to compete in the dance off. Not so sure. Maisie should get through. My only personal interest is trombonist Chris Barber. A friend of my late father, who used...

Re: Underrated Cities that never make these sort of lists
Not sure it's underrated but Norwich rarely gets a mention other than the webbed feet and 6-fingered locals. It's a really nice place to be, lots of old money has preserved the old buildings, there's loads of pubs that don't get overly busy and it's not a tourist trap. Great market as well. https:/...

Re: Strictly Come Dancing 2020
Jamie survives after the dance off. JJ gets the boot. Probably the right result but it took Shirley to give the casting vote. Very glad to see Bill go through. The standard this year is very high. Front runner is probably HRVY now. More rumours about romances. See you for week 8. Not sure but we are...

Well, that's JJ gone. But only by a whisker. Jamie scrapes though. He cannot surely last much longer. Loads of rumours on the internet about another Strictly romance. Will the lightning strike again? Who knows. Join me again on Thursday. I know that Bill is doing the Tango. We are into serious stuff...

Unsurprisingly Clara goes. Never likely to survive. A bit of a bolt out of the blue was Jamie being put in the dance off. Join me for round seven. Well that was strange. Cannot believe HRVY got 30. https://imagizer.imageshack.com/img923/9729/Sx5jrv.jpg Clara will need a miracle to survive but stranger things have happened. Maisie turned in a decent performance, the rest (including Bill) just about hung on. Nice Viennese from JJ. Let's see what...

No, it's not a lesbian. It's a crowdfunding project with Sunak's support. In line with Covid 19 worries, I've secured funding to improve the rift between between the Welsh and the English. Learning from the efforts to stop migrants hitting English shores, I've enlisted the help of the forces. The RA...

Re: The Queens Gambit. Anya Taylor- Joy
Watching it now. Great show. Three things: 1) The idea idea of "resigning" in chess. Seems stupid - in no other sport do you just give up because you are behind. Every other sport encourages fighting til the fat lady sings. Your opponent who is on top could make a basic mistake anyway and let you b...

Caroline gone. Big surprise is how unpopular Maisie is with the British public. JJ has finished with the military fetish and is wearing a kilt next weekend to appeal to the Scottish voters possibly. So Caroline gets the bullet, gracefully. Maisie is clinging on with her fingernails. Not sure why she is unpopular. I'm guessing that the jealousy factor amongst the ladies of this country is possibly it. In the dance off again. Every time she's in the dance off, the judges will probably save her. B...

Crikey! Clara goes from top to bottom. Maisie has recovered and the rest are there or thereabouts.

Well. That will do. Pretty compehensive. Best post from the Swarm was to bring Stockdale on.
Otherwise, DP in particular, you got stuffed. I don't take kindly to the likes of you. Pity is what I feel.
Lick your wounds. I've had to do that as an England supporter.

You can see Anton's just fcuking with it for two weeks. No chance he's getting tenure. Between Max and JJ for the drop. If public don't intervene reckon it's the latter. The public has spoken!
