Re: Fozzie Out

I don't think we will see Oz miss 41 tackles in a game again. Some of those breaks (Clarke, Barrett and Perenara stand out in my memory) were far batter than they should have been because Aussie fell like flies. Also, if Tomua stays on Oz would have been a lot better. In short - we got lucky but we...

Re: Fozzie Out

I haven't seen any evidence that AB fans want the team to fail so that it reflects badly on Foster. That's just a dishonest post. I am one of the most anti-Foster posters on this forum and I've said repeatedly that I'd love to be proven wrong, and for him to lead the AB's to great success. I've see...

Re: Wallabies Fans, any positives from the game?

I thought Jordan Petaia played well. As did Hanigan. Scrum didn't go too badly either. Anything else? I've thought about and have only one. (I'm ignoring counterfactuals like 'I suppose it could have been 42-0.'). Ned Hanigan might just turn out to be a half-decent international-standard 6. Gives a...

Re: Wallabies v All-Blacks - Bledisloe II - Official Match Thread

Best game I have even seen from Tuipulotou. He was immense and took responsibility at lineup time. Savea had a monster game and Cane continued his run of form. Think Umaga-Jensen is looking the part also at this level. Toomua was a massive loss for Aus. They lost leadership and some direction when ...

Re: Wallabies v All-Blacks - Bledisloe II - Official Match Thread

I didn’t think there was much “interpretation” at play in the no try. Placing the ball (a dynamic movement or whatever they call it now) would have been fine. The replay looked pretty clear that he got to his knees and moved (propelled) himself forward before placing. The decision was made quickly ...

Re: Wallabies v All-Blacks - Bledisloe II - Official Match Thread

Absolutely shocking last 20 from the ABs, much like the first 40. Won it on the back of a great 15 minutes after halftime. Often looked shakey trying to hold possession. That game was a great opportunity to be ruthless but this team isn't there yet, effort was there but very little structure and pu...

Re: Wallabies v All-Blacks - Bledisloe II - Official Match Thread

Game day, cant wait. Something that someone raised earlier was the amount of tackles the AB's had compared to the Wallabies. This was due to too much ball being kicked away by the AB's when they needed to hold on to it. I hope the coaches have addressed this as I am sure Rennie will also have spoken...

I am soooo looking forward to this game. This will let us know where this AB team and the coaches are at. The Wallabies will have belief and will be out to win and win well. I am increasingly pessimistic that we will see any test Rugby in the Southern Hemisphere in 2020. Lots of talk about how the Chiefs are unlucky, sawn off by a refs wrong call, star sign in the wrong corner of Venus. Here's my hot take. They just aren't very good. The Chiefs couldn't score a try if their life fvcking depended on it. Of the five Kiwi sides, they're the most impotent. Surprise! Th...

Think Gatland might have an argument in unleashing a whinge in this one. That knock on try was atrocious and at a pivotal point of the game. Going for those penalties instead of punching for tries which you need to beat the Crusaders is what really hurt them. Pointless scoring 3 points when they sc...

I cant believe Super Rugby Aotearoa is almost over, there isnt a final series which is no biggie, but it just seems awfully short. What happens once its completed? Mitre 10 cup starts? I wouldn't have had Garden Bachop, nearly blew the game at the end when he kicked the bvalkl away when they needed to hang onto ity. Crucial decisions like that are the differnce between a good plyer and an average play. Otherwise he was Ok.

Since 2016, Aus sides are 14-1-92 against NZ sides. I'm more than happy for a 5/5 split in a ten team TT comp, but that record is f**king dire if it is true. That's appalling. I don't think it is feasible to change WR's eligibility rules for a single comp. If young, uncapped Kiwi players move to Australia to play for Australian teams then we will have to accept the fact that they may choose to play for the Wallabies. Not ideal for NZ, but the reality is that this can alr...
