Re: SRP Rd 9 - Reds v Highlanders
I'll be pleasantly surprised if the Highlanders can nick this one. It's been a tough old season so far.

This is great, hopefully the NorAm teams can get a little closer to the NZ women, and keep up their high levels of play.

Re: Canada Rugby catch all thread
Went there last summer for the Women's tests, it was a good ish spot, liked the accessibility and dining / drinking options immediately available. It helped the weather cooperated fully. It's a bit big if the crowd(s) don't show in strength. Nice of Scotland to help us in that regard. Good grief we ...

A few years ago a friend of mine in our rugby club was in the exact same situation, driving to work one morning, but he felt terrible, and like there was a tremendous weight on his chest. Said he battled himself between the thoughts / feelings of 'it's nothing, go to work, soldier on' and 'this is ...

Have the board of directors changed much (other than through life changes) since we were bounced from WCup (Men's) qualification?

Costelow was awful. Williams had some ok moments, but was also no great shakes. Both Davies and Lloyd were awful. Such a bad decision to bring them on. I think Gatland is past it. If you think Gatland is past it, how come we did so well in the RWC until that awful performance against Argentina. The...

Well, the team's one title seems far away in the sands of time now, we are a long way away from that squad. Still, hope springs eternal. Maybe we can surprise, and some quality emerge that we're not presently aware of. It might be another long season though...

Thanks. I doubt they'd commit to that (pure speculation on my part).
I'm a sad season's ticket holder today! Although the on-field product had its ups and downs, always enjoyed going to watch.

Re: RWC Final: Neutrals, who you got and Why?
I'll cheer for NZ, but mostly hoping for a good game with some good skills on display. It can be an arm wrestle so long as there aren't interminable scrum resets, a high number of unforced knock-ons, penalties, etc.

'4 more years' type stuff perhaps. Which to a reactor like Sexton would be fuel to the fire no doubt, as raw as it was. Well, not a fan of it and he's been guilty of that type of thing more than most but that's that, no biggie. I was just curious, as the camera angle didn't give a clue - was it to ...

Re: NZ v Ireland RWC Quarter Final Thread..
I was wrong. Sexton's closing act in an Ireland shirt was to gob off at Ioane. https://twitter.com/ITVRugby/status/1713296892832968870 Do you have that where it doesn't say: "This video is not available in your location."? I get the same message. Genuinely curious what caused him to react that way.

Yeah, that was weird, and unnecessary. Hopefully Gatland and the leadership group in the team have a word with Williams to knock that stuff off.

I'd say most of the reason he's getting called a plum is for abusing the ref in that manner, and for prior incidents and general personality. He's a terrific player, no doubt there.

Yep. He can certainly express his frustration with the process; just like we can express ours with his behaviour and character.

Congratulations to the lot of you! Great stuff.
Six months is the recommendation here in Canada, fwiw. We didn't last nearly that long, but still woke up every time the babies cried in the other room. But I'm so old, is Ferberizing a baby still a thing?
