Re: Official: Tour de France 2025
How long will Healy hang on tomorrow? Even after slowing down to wait for Pog, there was only one EF lad who made it back to the MJ group. I can’t see him having any support by the foot of Hautacam.

Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread
It's all guesswork with the Irish players anyway. And a lot of others. 100%, it's all nonsense. Does anyone really believe that our Irish players are all underselling themselves and playing for pennies for the love of the game? Nobody will convince me that these lads are leaving hundreds of thousan...

Tadhg Furlong the only one in the Top 30, although the list does include NRL. 11-30 includes only 4 Union players, but has a range of GBP430k-700k. There’s probably a couple dozen players earning in that range in France alone. I can believe that Furlong is our best paid player, and that he’s on abo...

Yates wins the stage, looks like Ben Healy in yellow, first Irishman in yellow since Charlie Haughey in 1987.
Arensman 2nd on the stage is Ineos’ best performance of the Tour so far.

Healy looks like he’s 100% going for yellow, and doing all the driving in the break. 5 men left with him, including Simon Yates, Storer and O’Connor from Oz, and Quinn Simmons from the US.

Re: Official: Tour de France 2025
Ben Healy in a massive break 4 minutes up the road, so he’s in yellow on the road.
I’m 99% sure the last Irish actual Tour yellow was Roche in 87, but even yellow on the road probably dates back to then. I can’t remember Martin or Roche Jr ever getting enough of a lead to be virtual yellow.

Pog's support riders dropping away though. Probably good enough to win without them, but still makes it harder. The loss of Almeida who was meant to support him toward a launch on the high mountains is a blow indeed. Almeida is a big loss, but he also has Soler, Narvaez and Adam Yates; he should do...

7(!!!) Cat2 climbs and a Cat 3 in tomorrow’s stage. KOM jersey will definitely change hands.
Expect to see Healy in the break early, but no way UAE doesn’t make sure Tadej is in at the finish. Visma have been hiding Sepp Kuss in the peloton al tour so far, but I think he’ll be working tomorrow.
