Re: Bledisloe 1: All Blacks vs Wallabies: MATCH THREAD: Saturday 27th September
Nic White officially retires... again. It looks like Gordon will be back starting. I think they missed an opportunity not bringing in a new 9 against the Pumas. Would have been good to see what Lonergan could do at test level, or maybe even Wilson. Barring injuries you would imagine it will now be ...

Re: TRC 2025 - Pumas tour of Australia
Wallabies have been dreadful competing for the high ball all year. The only upside is that from what I've seen the ABs have been fairly dire as well so maybe we can do better against them. Massive worry though. Is it too late to recall Izzy? Just abandon the tactic all together unless it's Suaalii ...

If the concussion concern was a false alarm, stick with Lynagh. He hasn't been great, but not terrible either. Saturday was his first game back after what, 5 weeks or so? Should be better this week.

Re: Wallabies 2025: Revenge of the Schmidt
Super Rugby AU is a 3 round competition - do you believe that this should be the third tier? 3 rounds isn't enough for any tier. Yep. This is a stop gap to get more miles on the tires, but its a start. Not sure why they wouldn't have made it a 6 round home and away comp. $$$ I suppose.

Watched the no stoppage version of both SA games last night on Stan… Mcreight is the best 7 since McCaw. He just knows where the game is going to be 2 or 3 rucks ahead of everyone else. I’ll happily die on that hill. Yep. Not quite at Smith level yet, but getting there. Surprised he's only got 31 c...

Good to get AAA back but Nonggorr has been going well. Same with Slipper and Robertson. Maybe start with the old blokes and bring Bell and TT on early in the second? Wright will be missed but we have a few coming back in. Tom Lynagh to start. JOC on the pine? LSL straight into he starting side for ...

Re: TRC 2025 - Pumas tour of Australia
Should be a tough couple of games for the Wobs. Sometimes the Argies don't travel too well, but they should be able to put together at least 1 good performance. Hopefully some of our recently injured are available - Lynagh, Wilson, Slipper, White, JAS could all be available. LSL in for Skelton. I'd ...

David Campese @Davidcampese11 I can see why Joe Schmidt has never won a RWC. He has no idea about rugby. Clueless . This shows us why. Very happy for James who should have been on the bench for the Lions. Ben at 10. Under kiss it is not going to look any better. https://x.com/Davidcampese11/status/...

Re: RC Springboks vs Wallabies in South Africa
Doran is saying that Tupou might be injured for the first test, meaning we need to play 80 minutes without dropping a ball. Boks will genuinely be able to win a scrum penalty every time they get the feed as Ox will simply eviscerate Nonggorr, Robbo (who is only cosplaying as a THP), Slipper (LHP). ...

Re: Wallabies 2025: Revenge of the Schmidt
Yes, I agree to blooding youngsters but the bigger problem is being a halfback is a lost art in Australia. Both Tate and Jake are athletes first then a halfback. I see a lot of Gregan in how White plays. He needs to pass on that knowledge. He needs to be around the camp till end of year. Also, Lyna...

75. Will we get too 100?
FWIW, as pissed off as I was at the time, we shouldn't have been in a position for a refereeing call to decide the match. Playing well for 30 minutes won't win you a test against good opposition.

Re: Wallabies 2025: Revenge of the Schmidt
I think we need to start exposing some of the next crop of 9's to test Rugby. We haven't had a great 9 since Genia was at his peak. White, Gordon and Tate are all good at their best but not consistently. Give a Wilson, Thomas or Werchon some time in camp and a run off the bench, see how they handle ...

Just on the likely Wallabies' lineup... Schmidt going back to a 5/3 split with Faessler and Kellaway on the bench. Tizzano to drop out with either Hooper or Gleeson starting. Valetini and AAA both out through injury which is going to really f**king suck. :(( Yeah, need both Tupou and Gleeson/Hooper...

Do we still get 100 point blow outs? A quick Google tells me no team has cracked 100 since 2003, although France went close in 2023 putting 96 on Namibia. Overall though I think the minnows put up much better performances than they used to. I suspect Derwyn just foresees the inevitable Welsh loss to...

I’d go for that too but I reckon Schmitty will start Donno with Lynagh on the bench if fit in the first. The fact we don’t actually have an international level fly half is probably a different conversation.
