Re: Bledisloe 4 - Good v. Evil - Stolen Oz/NZ match thread

Really poor performance by the ABs :( No control of the game, far too many stupid penalties which was the most disappointing for me, too many poor kicks and just not enough enthusiasm. Reece was trying too hard (sort of understandable), BB just didn't control the game, losing Ofa meant we basically...

lack of security of tenure in my industry (Aviation) and outrageous house prices have reinforced my intention to not have any. The line between being comfortable and destitute is razor thin these days.

Re: French terror attacks.

i love the juxtaposition of certain people saying to respect the muslim faith while only a few months ago their ilk were shitting all over Israel Folau for his beliefs.

Its never about what's being said, its always about who is saying it and how many of them there are.

Chiefs totally disorganized on attack. Not only that their passing was among the worst I've ever seen from a professional side. Hardly once did I see pass someone could run onto. McKenzie sadly looks a spent force after his knee injury. He's not quite Milner Skudder slow, but whereas last year you ...

Whitelock shoving Farrell in the face and getting a penalty reversed killed off any NZ comeback in that SF match and thus the Allblacks chances at a threepeat.

He gavrilo pricip'd his own team and provided me with this juicy bait for Ali's Choice.

Was sorely missed against England as I alluded to in the match thread at the time. Can’t think of anything as blatantly bad as referee George Clancy illegally goading his TMO Johan Meuwesen to rule on an All Black forward pass (which wasn’t allowed at the time) v the Springboks at Port Elizabeth in 2011. I dread to imagine the uproar if it was a Springbok try that was disallowed ...

There was a bledisloe in the mid 2000s in Australia ( Brisbane I think) where the wallabies won but Dan Carter was absolutely incredible. Can anyone remember the game. id like to rewatch.

what gets me is the attendance....... rugby is gone to the doldrums. it meant something then. It means fudge all now. For me as a 36 year old the peak was 1995-2005ish . It went to shite afterwards.

Player drain and over exposure don't help.

"emotional pitch" wins matches now?

The difference between Bledisloe 1 and 2 and then the subsequent Ireland loss to NZ, NZ loss to Eng and then Eng's loss to SA.

Has the gap narrowed to the extent that its just a matter of who's up for it more emotionally on the day now ?

Barrett wasnt that bad at 6 and it was not the issue as much as all forwards not turning up, a lineout that shat the bed, tactics that were just off and an opposition who wanted it more.
