Re: **OFFICIAL** English Rugby Thread

Can anyone confirm a stat I recall flashed up in-game during the final - Willis was listed as having something like 44 turnovers since resumption, the next highest was 19 Surely not? Either my eyes or my screen need checking. True apparently. Oddly though, I think the new breakdown interpretations ...

Re: **OFFICIAL** English Rugby Thread

Shame about the conditions, it could have been an epic final. Exeter's control told ultimately and if you can't win your own lineout ball on the opposition five metre line you're not good enough to be champions.

How good though to see a final contested by two teams who do it the right way.

Awful conditions for the premiership final. Exeter not as clinical as they can be but edging it for me. They've nullified the Wasps breakdown threat pretty effectively

I'm probably being thick, but how are Sale able to name a squad containing players who've played and trained with other players who've tested positive, but Saints couldn't play because some of their players had played against a Sale squad containing the same players who've tested positive? Eccentric refereeing performance. Doesn't seem to have got the memo on the new breakdown interpretations - he was constantly waiting for the jacklers to survive the clearout.

T20 Eng v Aus

Decent result today, Buttler managed a modest chase pretty well. Aussies looking rusty which is understandable.

Highlight for me was Archer's first over. He and Wood opened the bowling very well but that over was as good as you'll see.

In defence of swing low, before it was adopted by the England fans, it was just a rugby song. We loved singing it in the 70s and 80s in Cardiff Med Club. The gestures alone made it worth it. Yes, we knew that it was a spiritual, but we often sang spirituals in male voice choirs, and still do. You w...

I like the idea of the jackler no longer being required to survive the clear-out, because that seems to me to be a serious injury waiting to happen. However, if the refs are being encouraged to reward the jackle more quickly, this in turn means that the tackler is going to have to move a hell of a l...
