Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread
Why not both? Can I be honest? Starting to enjoy the Left Wing podcast. Fitz talks shite a lot but he's not boring. I think Luke Fitz is really underrated. He comes out with some shite at times but he has an opinion and says what he thinks. So did George Hook though... and he was an insufferable ar...

Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread
Leinster have advantages in terms of demographics and may always have larger numbers in wider Irish squads etc. But is the province 10 times bigger than the others (as is playing out in terms of central contracts)? It's a freak situation compounded by some poor elite player development elsewhere. P...

Lads, do EPCR do kids tickets? I can't remember, not sure I've brought the kids to a semi final before. No mention of it on their site where they outline ticket prices. I might have to downgrade my prediction of attendance if they're expecting families to pay full price for all tickets. No, they do...

I'm pretty confident it'll sell out. How so - are they going to give the tickets away? They didn't sell out the Aviva at the same stage last year vs Toulouse. Saints MIGHT get to 15K travelling fans, and you might get 45K Leinster fans being generous to both, but I think it's a struggle to see much...

He was some player. still looking at jail time or whats the story ? No doubt he'll claim "ill health" and get off with a suspended sentence if found gu...

Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread
Northampton are clearly a dangerous prospect. Their attack is frightening and Courtney Lawes (bad luck for England) is in the form of his life. Also in a potential final with Toulouse, Leinster have adapted their game to deal specifically with the threat of La Rochelle. Would the new way of playing...

Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread
Having been a ST holder since the old Donnybrook days, two things in particular drove Leinster. One was 2006 and the win away in Toulouse followed by the disgraceful scenes in and around LR for the SF. I think the team as well as the fans remembered that. The second was the move to the RDS in 2007....

Oh fùck me, the media love in started in 2000, when Rog kicked that conversion in the famously bright sunlight of Thomond Park at 5 o clock on a January Saturday. The point was that Munster got the 2.30 slot prior to the floodlights being installed and kept it. It was the main/only rugby slot on RT...

Boogate would be the perfect epilogue to this saga. The media and pundits, having blown so much smoke up ROG's arse will now have to objectively ask the question: "is he a dickhead?" Once again, talk of an epilogue. 😂 ROG has two back to back European medals against you in two finals. Yesterday was...

Couple of questions LAR FB looked zonked after being treated in first half. Assumed he was walking off with medic only for the medic to continue and the player take his place in backline. Was he being treated for a head injury? Replaced at half time. No mention at all about the high hit by Aldritt ...

Looking at the Ticketmaster seat map thing, there's maybe a few dozen tickets left. Incredible stuff really. It’s weird. Leinster are the only show in town but the media still fawns over Munster in a way that Leinster are never treated. Can you imagine the media hype if this was the week leading up...
