Re: The Australian Politics Thread

I don’t post on this thread because it’s become a shouty-chamber for ALP types. The bantz has gone, sadly. Which is fine of course, technically, but I can’t be fvcked getting shouted at as a substitute for debate. This thread suffers from what Michael Kirby identified as the media problem with the ...

Whats with all the money being wasted on security for this pos? Could they not have flown him down on something smaller than a Hercules, in the middle of the night. No one would be any the wiser. Are they expecting him to be sniped or something. What a waste of time and resources. Why couldn’t he h...

You’re just saying words that don’t mean anything. Apple is a product company - they sell phones. They have an app that few people use that links to news. I didn’t say it started with that cruise ship Clogs. As usual, you’ve leapt on a few words and tried to distort an entire post. Typical NSW-centric view. QLD is currently taking overseas returnees and has always been taking returnees.
South Australia as well...the current border restrictions on international arrivals have been unchanged since the end of March.

But NSW.

Re: Trans-Tasman comp to replace Super Rugby in 2021

6 teams is a no-brainer. I really enjoyed SR Aotearoa this year but it had too few teams to be viable into the future. If Bay of Plenty have the money and the backing then that would be fine by me, but I think commercially a 2nd team in Auckland makes sense. My strong preference is for a Trans Tasm...

I can really see the logic in starting a new team in the Bay, splitting the Chiefs loyal base in the process and relying on a low population base for support while leaving one team in Auckland and ignoring the substantial PI population and potential for support it holds. That idea really flies. The...

Australia looking at a 3 game ‘Origin’ series next year. Money problems = over. The idea of a knock-out national club comp is fantastic. Imagine if they could do something similar for schools!
