Re: Boks toughest WC knockout win en route to winning 4 x RWCs?

They supposedly got sick on the Thursday and yet only mentioned it after the final? That's not true. The illnesses were widely reported in NZ on the Saturday evening (NZ time) about 8 hours before the game. I think it was even earlier than that. I remember hearing about it on Friday morning just be...

Re: Super Rugby Pacific (NZ) U20s Tournament

What's the talent looking like? Been a pretty underwhelming few years at u20s level, hopefully we can get a quality crop come through this year. Fletcher Carpenter from the Chiefs has impressed me the most. There’s a few others but yes it doesn’t really give a good gauge. NZ has been slapped around...

Two young locks in Lord and Va'ai
We are in big trouble if Vaa'i is going go be one of the locks. The guy is a lightweight and lacks the physicality for test rugby. Hopefully Lord, Gallagher and Holland can step up over the next couple of years.

I'm amazed that Che Clark didn't get a contract - and I'm especially amazed that he missed out at MP and the Highlanders. Named in the 7s squad. Possibly decided to choose the Olympics over SR. Unless Vaai can bulk up and up his physicality, he should never be picked for the ABs again. Such an overrated player, a complete lightweight and nowhere near good enough for test rugby. The fact that he's been in the setup for 4 years and even made the RWC squad is truly mind boggling.

why do the ABs seem to have a penchant for converting players into different positions or playing them out of position? Would they have been stronger if Reiko just stayed on the wing? 100% Cane cost us the game but so did Foster and his coaching team. The most frustrating thing about this RWC campaign for me is that the ABs got the hard shit right but stuffed up the basics.
