Squire v POM? Hard to pick and I'm not shitting on Squire, POM is a very good and experienced player, whereas Squire has rarely played to his potential at this level IMO. Never been all that impressed with Squire when I've seen him but admittedly haven't watched a lot of the ABs in the past year. H...

WR came out and said it was the right call, no?

Whether it should have been offside is a different discussion though, I'm sure plenty of NZers aren't fans of waiting till the 9 actually picks up the ball either.

I think you miss the point that over half those guys moved as toddlers with their parents in normal immigration, the rest moved on scholarships to schools. Point the fingers at the schools if you want, how dare they offer kids from developing countries a better education.

They are comparing players like Kaino, who moved to NZ aged 4, and Muliaina, moved age 3, to Aki and Payne, who moved around age 25 on pro contracts.

That's really grasping at straws.

It's a fun exercise but picking an AB team almost 4 years out is basically impossible. Don't think there are many (if any) players signed till then and guessing that Aumua overtakes Taylor (for example) is a huge assumption.

Foreign born by itself is quite meaningless e.g. if you immigrate as a toddler you are hardly a poach. One grandparent to me isn't enough but I don't see that ever changing. At least with a guy like Shields it's both parents so it's an undeniable link, as opposed to a guy who discovers one of his gr...

Every team pushes the line and tests the ref. The problem is when a ref is so lax on policing offside that when he is forced to make a call and has to go by the letter of the law, it makes all his refereeing up to that point questionable. As others pointed out, had they not made it to the line off t...
