Re: Rugby NAMA thread Revisited Rugby
Apparently a comprehensive integrated digital record management system would cost like 1billion. World any government front that cash with any confidence that it would be well spent? It's hardly 1bn up front? Money well spent over the years it'll take to set it up and get it right, IMO. And probabl...

Yes, good spot, one of Larmour/JOB shouldn't be there and yes, TOB or maybe Russell instead.

Re: Rugby NAMA thread Revisited Rugby
The IT and joined up thinking is really lacking in Ireland. We are at a disadvantage in some areas due to low population but it's a huge advantage having a small population and landmass in terms of efficiencies and we're screwing up royally there. Basic example is patient records. Now, I know there'...

Batshit thread.
Anyway, I'd happily pick Dupont in most backline positions. He'd make a good go at 7 and with a bit of training 2. Granted a tad small for the position these days!

Re: URCR15 Stormers vs Leinster
Well it's true :) Connors is quite clearly second choice to the extent that he even starts some Champions Cup games ahead of Josh. Russell is possibly even more clear cut, he's only played so much because of the unavailability of others. Particularly JOB & TOB but also Lowe and Larmour have missed ...

hermie
If you were picking a second XV it'd probably be:
Healy, Kelleher, Ala'alatoa, Jenkins, Molony, Deegan, Connors, Conan, McGrath, Byrne, JOB, Ngatai, Osbourne, Larmour, Frawley
So 4 second choice.
More if you look at second choice 23

One to be recorded and watched on fast forward to see the score rake up. Can't see Leinster getting within 20pts, we might score 20pts, but we'll ship a lot. Stormers on the back foot after 2 consecutive losses at home. I'm not sure if Dobson is going to crack the whip so that the boys get back to ...

Re: URCR15 Stormers vs Leinster
We don't absolutely need anything from this game but a bonus point (try obviously more achievable than bonus but still a stretch) would help. The Ulster and Connacht games will decide where we play the knockouts.

Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread
Given how well they (IRFU) seem to run budgets, common sense suggests NIQs are only likely to move province after the player rejects the top offer or the province doesn't want/can't have the player. I don't see any scenario where Synman could have moved just because Leinster offered more.

Duff, I guess you need to define wealth. By most metrics, we're a wealthy country (2nd in the world using distorted gdp/capita, 6th using GNI), we're running budget surpluses despite covid and other factors and we're sadly seeing the effects of our success in housing and creaking services.
