He seems to have lost power in his pass which just adds to the chances of a poor pass, something he was never very able to avoid anyway.

Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread

Unfortunately the halfbacks who should have given a bit of cohesion to the game weren't very good and some of the young players such as Osborne and Brownlee were, simply, awful. Both very young of course but if Brownlee is going to Munster I'm not sure that he'll be that much of a loss from what I'...

Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread

One way to look at the stats is that our inept attack kept the ball away from the Lions for significant periods of time and thus kept the score down. They basically scored anytime they got the ball. Would be nice to have some genuine pace though. Watching our players trying to keep up was dep...

Worst bit is, that with a bit of composure, Leinster could have been right in that match. Did you see the match stats? Whatever about losing, the scoreline is awful given how much ball we had. I would say nearly all their tries came of 1/2 phases and mainly turnover ball. All of the SA teams have l...

McGrath is a good rugby player but not an especially good passer for a SH. The seasons where he did well for us he always had a run of games to crisp up his delivery. So Munster's "Wah, wah, it's not fair " strop worked then. Just looking at the table, Cardiff now have 11 BP from 14 games but only 3 wins. They've also had a draw. Their PD is only marginally negative. Must be hard to keep on getting the wrong side of close matches but equally it's good to see they've been competitive in nearly every game. Hopefully they c...

Murphy will need a lot of time to fix this rabble. I'm not sure what the Ulster lads expect. It's rare a coach can instantly fix systemic problems with a side.
