Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread
Everyone can support who they want Willie. For whatever reasons they want. Leinster have been accused in the past of being too Dublin centric and it made it hard for those on the edges to feel an affinity towards the side. I'm sure it's stlll difficult but all the winning helps ease the pain! Taking...

Strong enough Leinster side, all things considered.

Shitty of the club not to agree but should have been taken out of their hands as a matter of policy.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ht8qw8LCPEw&ab_channel=TheGainLine There's an interesting stat in this vid, only 5% of the game between Leinster & La Rochelle was played in the Leinster 22, compared to ~30% played in the La Rochelle 22. Absolutely massive discrepancy, and bar that maul try Leinster...

Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread
I know in the old days the away team were given the option of 25% of tickets for knockouts, now obviously they wouldn't take up that many, but they had their own pre-sale same as Leinster did. I'm sure every Saints fan who wanted one got a ticket. There's no specific allotment for the semis, I thin...

When was Ryan’s last match? Think it’s really shitty to drop the guy who helped get them to a semi final for a guy who isn’t fit Ryan played in all 4 pool games, got injured during the 6N, and missed the R16 and QF. Has has significantly more minutes in Europe this season than Moloney. It's also no...

I was somewhere in the lower Davin stand for the Dan Parks game . Bowe's try where he somehow scored with a quadruple movement was close enough to us. They were pretty decent seats, TBF. Hopefully the atmosphere in the Hill is decent. I miss the terrace in the RDS. I remember it more as a day out l...

NZ can do the draft system easier than us because it's far easier for an Irish player to live in England/France and maintain connections to family than it is for NZers. Take someone like Lancaster, I know it's the other direction but point stands, he never moved his family here. Coached us for 6 ye...

John McKee is a better hooker than that strawberry blonde fella you had a couple of seasons ago who does punditry for Off the ball. McKee is 4th choice. Bullshit, when fit he’s 3rd behind Sheehan and Kelleher, & you know it. He's played for us 4 times this season, benched the last 3 behind Barron. ...

Not sure why anyone would complain about government investment in Ulster? Take what they can get. Not like the other three provinces don't avail of grants. While we don't own the RDS, the only reason the development is going ahead is because of us being able to source a grant.

Why are Ulster suddenly incapable of producing players? The 2010s had a shit tonne of backs. They still have good backs. Good on paper, none of them are really fulfilling their potential bar McCloskey. Balacoune must be one of the biggest disappointments in recent years. Could have been top class. ...

The issues in Limerick are allegedly local rather than something that's an easy fix for the HSE. It's not always simple to fix work environments that aren't running smoothly.

Didn't get through all that article above so apologies if covered (but it didn't look like it was going to be), I disagree that (centre) parties these days need a clear identity, particularly in a multi party, transferable vote system.
