Re: Leinster Worlds best supported club team- The people's team!

I thought Irish provincial teams were like NZ ones, where you had to be a member of a club in that province to play for it? While all players will be affiliated with a club, it's mostly meaningless (other than for those who came through via club rather than school) and the club doesn't even need to...

Re: Leinster Worlds best supported club team- The people's team!

the thread title calls leinster the most supported club. there is a big difference between a club side and a provincial side which represents a much greater area. How many Premiership clubs are there in London? Also, it'll come as a huge surprise to the successful soccer clubs that instead of havin...

Glory hunters glory hunt shocker. I'm not even knocking it but it is what it is, majority would be gone after a few lean seasons. Like the last two when we've won nothing? Re: Leinster Worlds best supported club team- The people's team!

Correct What's the difference? Leo Cullen refers to Leinster as a club, that's good enough for me. Re: Leinster Worlds best supported club team- The people's team!

So what's the solution here? Cap the number of supporters who are allowed attend Leinster games over the course of the season? Gate fees for Leinster games get rerouted to the other provinces? This kind of success represents a grave threat to Irish rugby and needs to be addressed. A complete overha...

Has to be said, the Leinster morkeshing/comms team have played an absolute master-stroke this week. All the various announcements, signing Barrett, new RDS and all that shit have dovetailed so well with the game going to Croker, they've been all over Twitter and the likes, and as a result they have...

Everyone can support who they want Willie. For whatever reasons they want. Leinster have been accused in the past of being too Dublin centric and it made it hard for those on the edges to feel an affinity towards the side. I'm sure it's stlll difficult but all the winning helps ease the pain! Taking...

I know in the old days the away team were given the option of 25% of tickets for knockouts, now obviously they wouldn't take up that many, but they had their own pre-sale same as Leinster did. Not sure why anyone would complain about government investment in Ulster? Take what they can get. Not like the other three provinces don't avail of grants. While we don't own the RDS, the only reason the development is going ahead is because of us being able to source a grant.
