Big 34 point win for the Rockets. First time they have had everyone healthy since the restart. Westbrook’s shot had some rust but his playmaking got guys like Covington going.

Re: Trans-Tasman comp to replace Super Rugby in 2021
Yes a local comp doesn't include PI teams, not like thousands of local Fijians attended the NRC when they played. Get the core teams settled and working. The Fijians got great crowds? They've consistently pulled the best crowds in the NRC since their inception. Yep. About double the league average....

The Japanese union wants a combined tournament with Australian and NZ sides in June-July. RA in particular should be interested in this it’s something they have been pushing for. https://english.kyodonews.net/news/2020/07/88c1b651e8f7-rugby-jrfu-exec-pushes-for-new-top-league-super-rugby-tournament....

Re: The UFC Thread
There have been UFC trilogies in a series that started 2-0 before. One is scheduled for the end of this month. Holloway-Volkanovski is former champ vs champ with a lot of debate over this result. There’s reason for them to fight again.

The third round was very close. Probably a slight edge to Holloway but I’ve seen worse decisions. They should fight again though.

Re: The UFC Thread
I give him all the credit for taking the fight. If he can stuff Usman’s takedowns for the first couple of rounds and make him stand and trade or do what he did to Askren and connect when he tries to shoot that’s his best bet. But if he can’t get an early finish I see Usman just grinding him down wit...

Re: The UFC Thread
Jorge Masvidal has agreed on short notice to fight Usman. They hate each other so I am expecting a war. For Masvidal the main concern has to be that Usman’s wrestling will wear on him after a few rounds, especially since he had to cut a bunch of weight on short notice. He has a clear edge as a boxe...

From the Belfer Center at the Harvard Kennedy School: The Belfer study also gives the Indian Air Force (IAF), with its Mirage 2000 and Sukhoi Su-30 jets, a qualitative edge in the region, where China fields J-10, J-11 and Su-27 fighters. There’s something about the reach issue you seem to be missing. I didn’t read JTB’s post above until after I wrote mine but he’s correct - Tyson being a midget is too much to overcome against a good HW with such a big size advantage.

I just don’t see it. Douglas put his lights out with a long reach and decent jab... Lewis was on another level in that department. I think a few of the superheavyweight era champs would have given prime Tyson problems. Vitali and Fury would have been tough for him to get to.

McCall and Rahman both had an 82” reach. Tyson 71”. Lewis basically only struggled against guys who had a reach close to his while throughout his career Tyson had problems with guys 80”+.

Yeah nah. Tyson wouldn’t have beaten Lewis at any age. Lewis only had trouble against guys with a long reach like his, Tyson couldn’t do anything with those little T-Rex arms.no heavyweight in history could have dealt with him.
