Re: The OFFICIAL English and European Football (soccer) thread

So at least Man Utd got rid of Onana now, that trade alone will allow Utd to end several positions higher in the log, the best trade they could have done this season in my opinion  8) They lost a lot of log points last season as a direct result of his mistakes. He was a lot worse than Bosnich.

The Bulls have recruited really, really well - way better than any of their rivals - to the extent you really have to fancy them this season. They're all old enough? Pollard will make a difference but I'm not sure it'll be a huge one looking at the RC and his time at Leicester. Marvin Oie didnt las...

The Bulls have picked a squad of players mostly under 21 years. I am glad they went that route and are giving most of the URC players a rest except for the ones that had very little play time. They also included 6 of the baby boks, 5 from the final squad. And with Ackermann watching on a lot of thes...

Boan Venter was very close to qualifiying for Scotland. I don't think there is any question he'd get more Scottish caps than Bok and make more money doing so. It also makes him less attractive for Edinburgh to keep him. It shows the lure of the home jersey, and hope he does feature many more times ...

Hope they get Jacques NieNaber. He already gave to much intellectual property to Leinster. Baby Boks pack was absolutely demolished in the set piece by Argentina the whole game. Luckily their backline was deadly when they got the ball in hand. Very disappointing performance the bok pack, also giving away loads of penalties. Hope they sort that crap out before Saturday.

But there is still a lot of unforced errors from them. And Libbok keeps his one game good kicker, one game bad kicker trend going. It’s a weird enough one. His insistence that Leinster players are just in a different league implies that Leinster have massively underperformed in bulls’ two knock out victories. In light of these recent victories, is it a little self serving to throw your arms in the air and say “nothing I can do...

Hard as it is to believe but it's the attack and not the defence that's the problem. Man Utd came 8th last season. With the 6th best defense and the 9th best attack. This year in 16th with the joint 15th best attack and joint 11th best defence. Some of the mix ups are school boy but it's up front w...
