That was an interesting "line out jump" in open play to draw a penalty advantage. They also deliberately gave away a scrum at the start of the game, unfortunately that time the pack engaged to quickly. I love that they keep on testing out different things during these games Kick off was deliberate ...

Re: Springboks vs Azzurri second test Sat.12 July 2025
But there is still a lot of unforced errors from them. And Libbok keeps his one game good kicker, one game bad kicker trend going. I assume the team against Georgia will again be completely different so that he can give the full 50 squad a run. Wiese is a card machine for the Boks, we need someone e...

Re: 2025 URC Final: Leinster vs Bulls
It’s a weird enough one. His insistence that Leinster players are just in a different league implies that Leinster have massively underperformed in bulls’ two knock out victories. In light of these recent victories, is it a little self serving to throw your arms in the air and say “nothing I can do...

Re: Cricket: WTC final Proteas v Baggy Greens
It maybe just me looking from afar but cricket looks to be dying in SA. I looked at the twitter trends earlier and there was very little comment from Saffers and mostly it was Inds. Cricket will never die in SA. We have the same schoolboy structure for cricket as rugby. Its our main summer and wint...

Bulls have beaten Leinster before in Dublin Think it was against a much weakened Leinster if I recall. No it was against most of the star players, in the first season knockouts. The Bulls played a very good game that day with very few mistakes. Unfortunately this year's vintage make to many mistake...

Re: The OFFICIAL English and European Football (soccer) thread
Hard as it is to believe but it's the attack and not the defence that's the problem. Man Utd came 8th last season. With the 6th best defense and the 9th best attack. This year in 16th with the joint 15th best attack and joint 11th best defence. Some of the mix ups are school boy but it's up front w...

Re: 2024/2025 Champions Cup
I have the opinion that Leinster's constant rotation of players throughout the season also affects them come the knockouts. No other team in any of the other leagues have their top players play as few minutes as Leinster's over a season. So even though they are fresher, they are not battle hardened ...

Re: 2025 U20 Rugby Championship @ Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium
The babyboks looked really unfit, specially the forwards, the were struggling by the end of the first half already. They also looked really slow in movement and reacted very slow to loose ball and ball on the ground. New Zealand is going to hammer them if they play like this again. From the 2 games ...

That loss to the Bulls didnt help any other team in URC. I agree with Freddie regarding the home and away derby matches. It should only be one match like the others. The derbies are the lifeblood of most teams. He's correct they put the Irish and SA teams at a disadvantage but it'd be mad to get ri...

Oh how the might have fallen! So winning the Europa league is the mighty fallen? 14th in the premier league is. Yes it is a fall, an no Man Utd fan think otherwise, but a Europa League win will be 1 trophy more than the majority of teams will have, even more than some in the top 4 most likely. You ...

Unfortunately the Willie experiment at FH has had limited success, with him playing good one game and then having a shocker the next. He had 2 shockers against the Sharks and the Stormers. 3 out of 3 but was a tour full of errors. Glad they are winning when not at their best. But frustrating to watch them being so inaccurate all over the park through all the games. They barely competed on Wales lineouts today as well, only did it 2 or 3 times. Not sure why they made it so easy for them.
