Re: Lions Lions Lions

Well put Owen out there in the next warm up match, see where he is and if he can play the type of game we want. We wouldn't want him to come a cropper in a test. Edit, I assume this would be at 12 btw as we have 3 10s selected ahead of him at 10. In other news, he might not be available for Brumbie...

Nope - when the scrummie picked up the ball the opposition moved to get him but were called off by the ref.

I'm not even sure which team did this.
It was jgp iirc, anyway, all these protections for the 9 are crap, speaking as a 9

The weird one for me was in the last Lions game where the scrumhalf was permitted to pick up the ball in the ruck and reposition at a more favourable spot at the back of the ruck. Yes I saw that, thought I imagined it, itwas so odd. It's definitely ball out, and returning the ball into the ruck, bu...

4 new caps, a game for de Jager and Marx returning from very long term injury, a game for du Preez who hasn’t played in yonks and doesn’t have many caps anyway & then newbie halves. Not scrumming for penalties? They were supposed to hold back at scrum time? And I don’t know what the national humour ...

I personally have always thought that both Mealamu and Umaga just intended to lift a leg of O'Driscoll and tip him out of the tackle area. You used to see that all the time (these days it's too dangerous as you could get a card like Ben Smith in the RWC final). Except cause they both did it, BOD en...

He "got a 14-week touchline ban on Tuesday after being found guilty of making inappropriate gestures and comments to spectators during his side's 32-23 win at Leicester" and for eating the biscuits. ...
