It was a difficult day on which to make judgements but a few of the pre-race fancied seemed a tad rusty. Kristoff was definitely a case of comets the hour .........

Think George Russell was performance of the day in most respects, but Hamilton’s pole lap was something really special. Exceptional in absolute terms, not just today.

I’ve watched all the games and generally I’m enjoying them now the players and refs have between them reduced the penalty count. There has been some good rugby and it’s great to see a live sport with spectators.

No doubt I could find stuff to moan about if I tried but why would I want todo that?
