Will Joubert ever ref another Scotland game?
For example, Lawrence couldn't/didn't want to referee another South Africa game after the 2011 Aus/SA debacle.

Re: World Rugby - 'Joubert was wrong to award penalty'
I just don't understand why referees who have shockers don't get fired or suspended for a year. After the Barnes 2007 debacle he should have been fired as a rugby referee. Same as Bryce Lawrence in 2011, though the cheat retired of his own accord in a few months. Now Joubert's in the spotlight for a...

Re: The Scots
So what if it's football-like reactions. The Warburton red and Scotland penalty were both wrong and the ref should know he made a huge mistake. Threats are beyond the pale, but venting online is completely fine. If everyone just got on with things like nothing happened, nothing would change. Sod Jou...

Thought you lads would like this. The whole forum is rabidly anti-Celtic teams and the Georgians especially are calling for your and Italy's heads.

Re: World Rugby - 'Joubert was wrong to award penalty'
I'd say Joubert probably feels absolutely devastated about the bad call, as much as the sweaties. He's likely torturing himself over making a game deciding call incorrectly, and against the manner World Rugby prescribe about being totally sure before awarding a penalty (whatever the phrase is - cle...

Re: World Rugby - 'Joubert was wrong to award penalty'
My friend said he saw Joubert walking around west London the other day smiling and happy, without an ounce of shame or remorse on his face.
Disgusting.
The guy should be sacked or made to referee Kenyan provincial rugby after the 2011 final and now this.

World Rugby - 'Joubert was wrong to award penalty'
Following a full review of match officials’ performance, the World Rugby match official selection committee has clarified the decision made by referee Craig Joubert to award a penalty to Australia for offside in the 78th minute of the Rugby World Cup 2015 quarter-final between Australia and Scotlan...

Why are Scotland fans so loutish?
In both internationals and the Pro 12, the fans are usually booing at the ref/kicker/post match interviewee, throwing bottles and other miscellaneous items on the pitch, screeching at the referee. Is it because a lot are now football converts due to Glasgow's success?

I thought I'd give a shout out to these teams. The top 3 teams among those no longer in the competition, without a shadow of a doubt. They possessed tenacity, grit, belief and sheer force of will by the bucketload. Their skills may not have been the best sure, but their passion was unrivalled and th...

In this World Cup, Fiji, Samoa and Tonga have all finished 4th with only 3 wins between the 3 of them. Those 3 wins were against Uruguay, the USA and Namibia respectively, so not exactly world beaters. Clearly something is wrong but what is it? These teams used to be halfway decent but they've massi...

So if Jannie is bound it's legal? How would you go about defending a 10 man conga line? Just smash the first player to smithereens or try something else? Also, why is it that when a player goes into contact and it forms into a maul, when it collapses sometimes the opposing team get the scrum but oth...

Refs on the board is this legal or not? I really don't know what to make of this. They did it twice in the game v Samoa and both times it was very effective. https://keyassets.timeincuk.net/inspirewp/live/wp-content/uploads/sites/7/2015/09/GettyImages-490125292-630x405.jpg The only way to attack it ...

I go to sleep every day asking myself what we've done to deserve this. But fudge it, if the Welsh boys go through we'll be all the better for it, having cut our teeth in the toughest group by far.
Equal parts nervy and excited here.

I know this has been said many times before but it doesn't make it any less frustrating. You have 3 world class teams + Fiji in one Pool while teams like the Jocks get Japan, the USA and Samoa. We are head and shoulders above them and Italy in terms of skill level, physicality, the lot but for some...

I'm thinking that the USA game might turn out to be the tricky one selection wise. Not because they should cause us any real trouble but because it is a game where we really could get key players banged up. But rest too many and it could become a banana skin. Obviously the Samoa game will be very p...

Despite their reputation as 'good-natured' folk, they really take any slight about their rugby team very seriously even if it's said in a jokey manner. What gives? I actually don't know any other group of fans that come close to the preciousness they exhibit. On the plus side, it's super easy to win...

Re: Would you ever circumcise your baby boy?
Yeah I'd consider it. It's more hygenic, greatly reduces chance of STD infection (80%+ depending on the actual disease) and every girl I've spoken to about it either prefers it or doesn't care. Its never worried me for even a second. And it's totally incomparable to female circumcision where I unde...

Yes or No?
And if Yes, how do you justify not doing it to your baby daughter too?
Routine circumcision whatever the gender is sickening in my opinion.
