Re: New unimproved England rugby thread

Baxter and F Smith likely out of the Wales game. Arundel won't likely start. I don't love it, but could easily be Daly? Roebuck comes straight back in when fit. Dingwall has the shirt at 12 and they might want some continuity alongside Freeman at 13. Atkinson though would be the long-term pick. Not ...

Thought we would see changes in the backrow, locks too, considering the game time some of them have had and physicality of the tour games. Must feel the others are a significant step down
Beard to come on at the same time as Lood and Itoje to blindside?

Also, remember Gats has his favourites, players he really rates and knows can do a job. Been vocal in support of them before. They will almost certainly get picked, almost regardless of form.. Daly picked for the squad for instance despite being meh all year. A. Watson is very highly rated. Gats lov...

Re: The official Lions 2021 thread

It's quite simple, Lawes is a harder carrier and hitter (he's a huge feature of the England dominant tackle stats), while Beirne has better footwork and skills and will contribute more defensively at the ruck (and those couple of turnovers he makes per game have a huge impact). It's slightly horses...

Re: 6N - Official Ireland v England thread, Feb 2nd, KO @ 16

Quick question about the scrum for those who know anything about it. Did both teams just settle for a draw there? Pretty much every scrum was clean, locked and then the ball played. I was expecting Ireland to use it as a weapon and braced for 9 resets a time. looked like it. Mako and Sinkler are av...

Seriously though, probably;
Vunipola, Itoje, Lunchbury, Underhill, B Vunipola, Farrell, May.. another winger too probs... an on form Joseph is > Ringrus too

Irish players are over rated, Schmit just gets the most out of them- only one or two would make a world XV.

Not sure what Marler has to do with anything? Mako was one of the best on the park. I can't see Roko and Solomona on the wing ending well.

Argentina had the nudge in the scrums over the summer, so would be surprised if it weren't the first choice front row starting.

I still don't know if Exeter have the top two inches to go far in this cup- lack of stardust maybe- certainly with LCD, Ewers, Nowell, Campagnaro out.
At home, they should be favourites though.

Rush hour on those trains, there are hundreds of people exposed to something like this- it's no longer contained to a single carriage. He's perfectly entitled to his opinion and it closely aligns with his beliefs. I can't see how he's a hypocrite for that or how his comment could be construed to be 'speaking out against' marriage equality. He's just saying he'll vote no. A lot of people will. It's their right. It really isn't. Exp...

Re: Israel Folau speaks out against Gay Marriage

I expect the crux of the issue (simplistically) is that he believes homosexual behaviour is wrong, and does not wish to condone the institutionalisation of this 'sin'. From a Christian perspective, it is becomes more an issue of recognising something which is null or vacuous, Marriage is explicitly ...
