Re: URCR13 Stormers vs Ulster

Any you heard rumours (from boards.ie) that Kitshoff has got homesick, similar to his stint in France, and is to return to the Stormers for next season? That's a pity for Ulster, but I'd be lying if I wasn't excited by the chance that he might be coming home. Some SA players just seem to struggle t...

Stormers really impressed yesterday. The youngsters like BJD, Simalani and Harzenberg was impressive. I thought Simalani was poor, often didn’t pass when another player had space. I thought he was very good. He had some great linebreaks and support lines for sure. Very promising and seems to have s...

Re: South Africa overflow of rugby players

Maybe they should just count the URC games that the 4 SA teams play against each other as Currie Cup games as well, so then these 4 teams just need to play against the unions not in the URC for the rest of the Currie Cup schedule. At least it will be a few less games for them top play. Yeah, I'm to...

Rassie and Nienaber have both been very candid in their acknoldegment that 6-2 and 7-1 bench selections are very high risk, and when it backfires they will look like idiots. But they also claim that that the risk is calculated and that they try to mitigate it as much as possible by building in as ma...

Yes I think it is quite difficult to go for a slam these days. I'll say it again, but just make scrums a contest by enforcing a straight put in, and they will speed up organically.
