Re: URCR15 Stormers vs Leinster
One to be recorded and watched on fast forward to see the score rake up. Can't see Leinster getting within 20pts, we might score 20pts, but we'll ship a lot. Stormers on the back foot after 2 consecutive losses at home. I'm not sure if Dobson is going to crack the whip so that the boys get back to ...

Re: URCR15 Stormers vs Leinster
Excellent news. Glad the La Rochelle injuries didn't end up being as bad as I initially feared. The biggest one seems to be Fourie then, which is still a massive loss for us, but at least we got some of the other players in the pack back.

We went from Cape Town stadium being a fortress where we had only lost 1 match in 3 years (final against Munster) to scrambling to stall the 3 match losing streak against Leinster. Not great. Munster beat you twice in Cape Town last season. I stand corrected. I got the 2022 loss at Thomond Park las...

Given the clash with Wales falls outside the official Test window, players based in the UK, Ireland and France will also be unavailable for selection. This means that Leicester-based Handre Pollard and Stormers playmaker Manie Libbok are set to be among a mass of players unavailable for the Springb...

Weren‘t the Boks supposed to play Ireland again in the EOYTs?! Would make it a Grand Slam tour. The test windows in July and November are each just 3 weekends, so only 3 tests can be played. As a result it's unlikely that we'll get another Grand Slam opportunity anytime soon. The first test against...

Much like Willie in 2019, I didn't even know Fourie was carrying a shoulder injury into the final. I really hope his injury vs La Rochelle wasn't a career-ender. He deserves a better send-off than that!

You’re right, Blake. Beating someone to death and then being capped as an international test player is not the same as committing an assault and being capped. The point is, most of us don’t like Frizell’s selection either. The difference is I can't build a time machine and go back 28 years to objec...

Henry Tromp Whats the story here for those of us not up on Bok lore? Racist player who beat a 16-year old black farmworker in 1992 for theft. The kid later died and Tromp got a 2 year sentence for aggravated assault. He only served 4 months. He later got selected for 4 Bok caps in 1996 by Andre Mar...

Re: Boks toughest WC knockout win en route to winning 4 x RWCs?
On paper, it’s the France game in Paris. France’s record against the SH under Galthie and co. Was actually really good. I don’t think they had lost to a SH side in about 2 years, and even that was a weird result against the Aussies. They obviously went into the tournament joint favourites, were ran...

Old age home. Need the new kids on the block. We'll definitely need some new caps to be phased in this cycle, especially in the pack. We need 2 young props, 2 hookers, a lock and 2 or 3 young loosies. The backline I think is fine. Maybe a young 10 if somebody puts their hand up, but nobody really h...

Felix (I think that is his name) has been the most impressive of the coaches/analysts to me. Absolutely, quite surprised how vital he seemed to be. He really is a big loss. The Springboks would also make a few surprising selections for the crunch fixture, returning to a more traditional 5-3 split for the match despite the firepower the French had, particularly up front. Ironically. this was the match we ran out of forward subs when Eben was in the bin, and PSDT and Ve...

The Boks are super boring boet. The only and proper way to play rugby is with as few as possible set pieces, long range strike plays and counter attacks. 2021 NZ played Boks in Aus. Not at home. I am aware. An we each took 1 win from the 2 neutral venue matches. We tripped over the Aussies. Playing them away from home twice. I think you over estimate NZ's ability to influence World Rugby. If they had it their way, pitches would be as wide as they are long... You’ve won 4 tri nations/RCs in 28 years. Same as Australia. Agreed. Terrible record. But this discussion was about Rassie and his RC record, which spans 2 or 5 attempts, depending on how you want to count them. If you take the view that he was coach for 5 attempts, his record is: 1x 1st 3x 2nd 1x ...

I don't think you can mandate what positions bench players can pay, aside from the front row for player safety. Tbh, South Africa didn't win the RWC final because of the bomb squad, they won in spite of it. I thought the All Blacks' pack gained the ascendency in the 2nd half, and the rotation of fo...

Any news about when this will be on UK TV? I doubt it will...at least not legally. I don't think MultiChoice has been able to find a buyer for it.
