Re: 1991 world cup Wales were joint hosts.
You claim to not be that bothered, but then take the time to start a thread.
This thread is the equivalent of a spoilt four year old saying "it's not fair, they did it first".
Face it, you believed the hype and now you're upset. You should just be man enough to admit it.

As much as Dai Hard is a wind up merchant, him talking about the final is no different to the English posters on here saying "that won't be good enough when we play the All Blacks" after both the Ireland and Fiji games.

But had Lloyd Williams not kicked the ball infield with a lucky bounce, England would still be in it. its not like you lost to bad teams, you lost to two of the best teams in the world. That we've beaten (home and away for Wales) in the last 4 years several times. They've fücked up. But, surely tha...

Re: Robshaw, Lancaster fall or be pushed?
Typical English overreaction.
You'll now look for someone to sack because, being English, you can't believe that you didn't win and it must be somebody's fault.
You have a good team and a good coach. You were just unlucky.

Re: The English press will love this
It's the usual cycle:
1. England win a game.
2. Press and fans decide they're going to win the 6N / World Cup.
3. Weeks of ego massaging.
4. Big game choke.
5. England wonder how anyone could beat them, as they're the best team in the world.
6. Someone has to get sacked.
7. Rinse, dry, repeat.

Don't really understand how Scotland thought they could bully the Boks. Their tactics revolved around trying to smash it up through the centre and attempting to play hard at the breakdown.
After a tactical masterclass by Japan I was expecting Scotland to try something different.

I have two over-riding memories of that tournament to be honest. The first involves walking into a pub in Streatham after the Wales v Ireland game with a massive, feck-off, smug smile on my face. And the second involves me idiotically laughing with disbelief as some Spanish bloke told me Warburton ...

If England lose, the'll head into the World Cup with a desire to prove everyone wrong. If they win, they (and the press) will think they've already won the trophy and will expect to win every game. Wales and Scotland could be independent if they wanted to.
Then they could do really cool stuff, like blow up crowded pedestrian streets and kill innocent little kids.

I'll be cheering on England by more than 15 points against Ireland.
