Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread
I’ve no interest in the championship next week now. Even if we do win it, it’s tarnished by the fact we lost to England, who will take huge confidence from beating the supposedly “best team in the world”. What a spoilt brat I’m guessing you are mid 30s and have no recollection of the 90s Because if...

Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread
Also, we’ve a huge issue at Loose Head. Porter is a liability in the scrum and we don’t seem to have anyone coming through. Furlong also a liability in the scrum. This loss hopefully will bring everybody back down to reality that we are an average team when our attack is shut down, which all teams w...

Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread
I just can’t get over how poor some of our players are yet they’re still getting picked. Surely this is Murray’s last 6N. He is so passed it. POM the same. So frustrating.

Murray, Beirne, Doris, POM, Furlong, Porter so POOR. We were way too cocky. England did their HW and watched how NZ beat us in the 1/4 final.

Re: France vs Ireland Official 2024 6N Match Thread
The performance by Lucu at 9 must come close to the mediocrity of Bergamasco infamous game against the Poms. He was downright pathetic, cost the French any sort of momentum, and kicks poorly It is going to be a tough year without Dupont Surely the forwards have to take some of the blame. Lucu was p...

Pundits going on as if Crowley has never played in green before. He’s been involved in big games before. I’m not worried about him. I still think France will win though.

I still feel such sadness after Saturday. When will it end? Can’t imagine how the players are feeling. I wonder will it make us hungrier than ever for success in the new year? Hard to even think about that right now.

Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread
This one hurts a lot. Just so hard to fathom that Argentina and very possibly England are going to be in a World Cup semi final and we’re not. The draw is so unfair. Still though, we were not good enough to win and if we didn’t have this curse hanging over us then maybe we could accept the loss bett...

Already biting my tongue at everyone saying we didn’t deserve it, we were outmuscled, physically dominated, Boks left 15points out there etc… so annoying. How many did they actually leave out there? Was it actually 15 points? We still won. We’re not getting ahead of ourselves but we won the match by...

Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread
One good lineout showing in our last 6 games. Got out of jail tonight, we're winning no world cup with that mess and the Scotland outcome is no certainty either. Not true. Lineout was good vs Tonga. We also have 3 different hookers throwing interchangeably. It’s not perfect but SA read our calls ve...

Re: RWCR3 Ireland vs Springboks
Boks missed lots of kicks but Ireland went to the corner multiple times with no result when they could’ve gone and successfully kicked 3 points. There is nothing between Ireland and South Africa. They are the two best teams in the world. Ireland won today and as an Irish fan I’m delighted, but could...

Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread
SA beat NZ in Twickenham with Libbok at 10. He’s a great player, just not the best goal kicker. I think what is making me nervous is that we haven’t faced really challenging opposition since France in the 6N so we don’t have a huge idea of where we are. I know the performance against Tonga was good ...

Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread
We lose, the main thing is we don't ship too many injuries and that it's not a blowout. It's not fatal. I really want us to win though, it'd be huge psychologically. I do have this weird feeling SA are just going to come out the blocks and stun us with two quick tries or something. This. Hit the na...

I thought they’d go 6-2 so I’m a little surprised even though it was expected. They’re going to maul us to death and attack our breakdown. What is Farrell’s game plan going to be? Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread
What’s the SA penalty count like? I’m imagining we’ll kick to the corner unless it’s an easy 3 pointer and try and force them into ill discipline while also getting all of their 15 forwards making huge amount of tackles?? Who knows. I’m nervous.
