Re: NZ Politics Thread

Did anyone else hear about losing incumbent MPs personally showing up at the winning candidate's election night HQ to concede in person? Apparently it's a bit of a tradition in the rural seats. Given their long stints, Nick Smith in Nelson and Jonathan Young in New Plymouth are the standouts for ro...

The talk of strategic voting causing national to lose this badly is grasping at straws. Do we think that people were answering all these polls strategically when national couldn't get out of the early 30s? I'm sure internally they must be having a proper review and clean out. The first question is ...

So I am noticing the majority of Nat/right supporters are adapting a very similar position. The old 'doesn't worry me' 'its all water off a ducks back' then proceed to be really passive aggressive in their 'analysis' of Labour's win and quick to insult Labour supportes. It is certainly different to...

Headline is misleading

5k tickets left and had sold 29,500 when sales opened on the 1st October, keep in mind Auckland was still on lockdown when announced.

This whacko stunt could be the difference between losing big and losing even bigger. Plenty of Nat MPs will be furious tonight. We're hearing the Nat caucus was already unhappy with Wong Tung's highjacking of the party and campaign. This could get messy. Imagine Surge-on doing this! Tend to a...

Great coach, he seems a real people person, an all round good bloke.

I'd rather him coach the All Blacks than the incumbent, but I think he needs international experience first to test the waters, Jamie Joseph is the most qualified to coach the All Blacks imo
