Prefer Naholo over Rayasi atm
Rayasi on defence is a liability, prefer him to come from the bench and wear tired defences down

Re: Blues v Crusaders @ Eden Park - Saturday
Fun Fact: 2024 Crusaders have only scored 79 points in 5 games.
That's an average of 15.8 points per game.

Re: Blues v Crusaders @ Eden Park - Saturday
Even without all the injuries the Crusaders have had a pretty bad draw handed to them... Chiefs - away Tah's - neutral Fiji - away Hurricanes - home Blues - away Surely you want the competition's best side (over the year's) to have a fairer start to the comp? Cry me a river. Landers unlucky here, they are just half a step away from beating teams. Chiefs did enough, but they gotta be better than that if they meet the Canes.

Re: Blues v Crusaders @ Eden Park - Saturday
Havili should never see another black jersey ever again I've been saying this. He gets owned by any decent sized midfield. But I keep getting told he's awesome and it's early in the season. Put Macleod at 2nd 5 and then Aumua might get decent ball. Aumua is disappointing too. It's like they've put ...

Re: HURRICANES V REBELS SUPER RUGBY Rd 5 MATCH THREAD
The Rebels lacked in the first 30mins. Defensively they were a shambles, they have some weapons in that team but unforced errors were their Achilles heel. Canes were scoring for fun but I think from the 25th min to 50th min they let the foot off the pedal a bit and Rebels got more into the game. We ...

Re: Crusaders vs Hurricanes Match Thread
Provincial standard is a bit rough. Don't take anything away from the hometown 'heroic loss' narrative. Has anyone used the word heroic? We played like shit. And yet we led the best team in the comp in the 78th minute. The fact that Hurricanes fans are so excited by their team's performance last ni...

Re: Crusaders vs Hurricanes Match Thread
Just seen the match. Hurricanes should’ve won by 20pts but any win in Christchurch is hard won so a good win to the Canists. Crusaders look well off the pace. Only Sevu Reece looks like a shadow of his former self. My sentiments exactly. Canes had so many opportunities to win by two scores. Regardl...

Re: The Crusaders 2024 Thread
They couldn't gone for Cotter. Colin Mansbridge wanted his mate Penney in the job because they played together at Burnside RFC . Nepotism has come back to bite Mansbridge in the ass. I reckon all those titles he won for Canterbury probably had something to do with it too... That was a while ago. I ...

Re: Crusaders vs Hurricanes Match Thread
Crusaders are always hard to beat at home. I think there's a bit of steel developing among the team, and we have a good balance. We probably should have more points on the board but credit to the resilient defence of the Saders. Great game.

Disagree. He had few moments of brilliance, but actually thought the ginga had better of him. Christie threw some average af passes and his kicking game was abysmal wtf were you watching? Re: Super Rugby 2024
Could someone tell me why they host super round in Melbourne? I like the idea of it, but looking at those crowd numbers I wonder if other locations like Brisbane or Syndey would not attract bigger crowds? The Victorian government gives them money. That’s what it’s all about. Get rid of it. I think ...

Re: The Official Capt Hurricane Hurricanes vs Blues Match Thread.
The battle upfront will be enormous and will determine the winner. Set piece is key to winning.
I like our chances, but it will take a few lucky calls and bounces to get the rub of the green. Talentwise Blues have the edge. But if any team that can create something out of nothing it's the Canes.

I can’t believe Kemara got a super rugby contract let alone a contract with the Crusaders. He was absolute shite playing for NZ U20s last year. Lincoln McClutchie is better than him yet McClutchie got nothing. Meanwhile Brett Cameron is flourishing at the Canes when he could of been playing for the...

Auckland dominated the domestic scene for 10 years while demolishing teams in b2b SR titles.

To be miserable one would have had to be happy to begin with. Saders fans have had more than enough success for a lifetime. Pleasing win, and our depth look pretty good rn. And our set piece was great imo
Some lapses of defense here and there but that's a work on and will get better as the season goes on.
Force just lacked polish, but at times they looked good
We need all the away points we can get in this comp

I think Asafo Aumua is a physical freak, but I think he has really struggled playing behind Coles at the Canes. He really should have taken a gamble and moved to a team where he was the first choice 2. In saying that, NZ has been blessed with hookers in recent years, with Taylor, Coles and Tau'keia...

Why aren't the Australian franchises after Lincoln McClutchie, Alex Hartford or Josh Jacomb given no NZ franchise want them and they are arguably as good as or better than alot of the NZ 10s who got contracts. Given the lack of talent at 10 in Australia you think these would be the players they are...
