Re: SRP R6 - Highlanders v Hurricanes - Game of the round?

Prefer Naholo over Rayasi atm

Rayasi on defence is a liability, prefer him to come from the bench and wear tired defences down

Fun Fact: 2024 Crusaders have only scored 79 points in 5 games.

That's an average of 15.8 points per game.

Landers unlucky here, they are just half a step away from beating teams. Chiefs did enough, but they gotta be better than that if they meet the Canes.

Re: Blues v Crusaders @ Eden Park - Saturday

Havili should never see another black jersey ever again I've been saying this. He gets owned by any decent sized midfield. But I keep getting told he's awesome and it's early in the season. Put Macleod at 2nd 5 and then Aumua might get decent ball. Aumua is disappointing too. It's like they've put ...

Re: HURRICANES V REBELS SUPER RUGBY Rd 5 MATCH THREAD

The Rebels lacked in the first 30mins. Defensively they were a shambles, they have some weapons in that team but unforced errors were their Achilles heel. Canes were scoring for fun but I think from the 25th min to 50th min they let the foot off the pedal a bit and Rebels got more into the game. We ...

Provincial standard is a bit rough. Don't take anything away from the hometown 'heroic loss' narrative. Has anyone used the word heroic? We played like shit. Just seen the match. Hurricanes should’ve won by 20pts but any win in Christchurch is hard won so a good win to the Canists. Crusaders look well off the pace. Only Sevu Reece looks like a shadow of his former self. My sentiments exactly. Canes had so many opportunities to win by two scores. Regardl...

They couldn't gone for Cotter. Colin Mansbridge wanted his mate Penney in the job because they played together at Burnside RFC . Nepotism has come back to bite Mansbridge in the ass. Crusaders are always hard to beat at home. I think there's a bit of steel developing among the team, and we have a good balance. We probably should have more points on the board but credit to the resilient defence of the Saders. Great game.

The battle upfront will be enormous and will determine the winner. Set piece is key to winning.

I like our chances, but it will take a few lucky calls and bounces to get the rub of the green. Talentwise Blues have the edge. But if any team that can create something out of nothing it's the Canes.

Some lapses of defense here and there but that's a work on and will get better as the season goes on.

Force just lacked polish, but at times they looked good
