Re: Tupou Vaa'i to blindside flanker
Despite all this cogitation over Vai'i at 6 , my personal view is that it will be short lived. SB has been injury 'prone' this year and his form scratchy at best for the past 2 seasons. Long term[ and that may start soon] Vai'i will be his replacement alongside Holland . As soon as he's fit again S...

I still haven't seen the game yet, but let's give him (and some others) a few games in the position at this level before writing him off. He's looks a natural 6 in my view.

I didn’t see the game due to a family commitment but I’m just glad the ABs won. Hopefully I’m able to catch a replay of the game to make my own assessment.

Scott Robertson's post-selection press conference; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rlkQcDjaKds Man is he excited or what !?! Love it . As someone who has rediscovered health and fitness in my 40's I also like that we have a head coach who models health, fitness and self-discipline to his players. I...

The selection that interests me most is Holland. Good to see Razor giving him his debut in his home ground where he’s most comfortable. He’s got a bright future ahead of him, but he’s going to need the experienced players around him to lift their performance.

Just catching up on the Williams out news after being out of action (sick) the past few days. That is a real shame. Bower is a solid replacement and won't let anyone down, but he's nowhere near Williams level of impact around the field. Yeah Williams is a real weapon now and none of the other optio...

Re: All Blacks 2025
I listened to the Q&A with Razor, a few things are concerning for me: Whitebait theory: The idea that we should be four deep in every position, this could be to the detriment of developing cohesion and true world class combinations and players . Reminds me of Graham Henry trying to build two equal ...

Razor has said Leroy Carter is the fastest player in NZ. So much for those saying he's too slow. Who said he was slow? He and Tangitau look to be pretty quick. When he was having a purple patch during Super rugby and some mentioned him as a bolter there were a few that thought he was too slow. Tang...

Indeed, as is Mo'unga. It's a shame we only seem to have a certain type of 1st 5, slight and speedy. I'd love to see how we'd go with a Butch James, Handre Pollard or even a Stephen Donald type who is physically big and strong enough to withstand a rush defence. The only player we have like that wh...

Yes their forwards have been dominant. And yet none of them would be playing for the Springboks if the SARU had the same amateur-era eligibility rules as NZR. Almost every forward in the Springboks squad is based offshore. Perhaps we should be considering doing what they are doing? Perhaps we shoul...

It's going to be tough to beat them [Springboks] this year even at home. They have another level that other teams don't have at the moment. Agree. The last time I checked the ABs played the Springboks 5 times in 1996, and won 4-1. Let's wait a year before we celebrate the 30 year anniversary of that.
