All wanted the Uni pathway, whereas Mrs and I haven't degrees but had middle income employment. Things were tight financially when kids were young and we were operating on one income, so too...

Re: NZ Politics Thread

Well that was an interesting month! Signed out for the last four weeks during the leadup to the election, but admit to calling a few times as a ghost to read a few comments that were being chucked around. Saturday's result was decisive.....and to me was so because the large "central electorate of NZ...

The benefit to the taxpayer is that we should all feel encouraged to use whatever structuring methods are available to us individually to manage our own tax liabilities. This example frees us from any fuzzy individual moral obligations to incur any greater personal burden than strictly necessary to...

Re: Employment Law...... Strictly speaking I think it would be possible under the National policy for an employee to be working in a job where they don't get some of those breaks. But that's possible under the Labour version of the ERA as well. [b]The difference is that under Labour it has to be pre...

Thanks for the explanation Deadduck.......I thought that there must have been more lucidity behind the "lunchtime" aspect of employment law. In essence, nothing changes about the requirement for having 2x 10min breaks (paid) and 30min meal break (unpaid). What is proposed as a change, is when these ...

Nah dude, get more boring with some links, because this link contradicts your assertion:

It puts PBRF at 8% - it's couple of years old, but still well out of the previous Labour govt timeframe.

The point is they can't come in. We just don't have the facilities to process them for the start of the 2021 year. While quarantine's a thing foreign student income is not going to happen. Ergo just about every educational institution in NZ next year is going to face a budget shortfall. Agree.........
