In my experience you go to financial planner to put a plan in place...i.e. how to save, mortgages, debt, etc...good idea if you get a windfall of money. Australia does have a culture of Monday-itis...it is a real concern among employers. However...correct me if I'm wrong...a lot of employers will pay out untaken Sick Leave just as they would Annual Leave in Australia...not sure if this a Employment Law and if it applies in all states.
