Re: UEFA Euro 2024 **Official Match Thread**
Weghorst is a real nuisance, he might not get a goal but he attracts a lot of defenders.

Re: UEFA Euro 2024 **Official Match Thread**
Bellingham so good at such a young age, reminds me of Zidane with his strength, footwork and relative lack of top end pace.

Re: Breaking: Reform surge as Labour claim Super Majority • Post Election Discussion
In some way the Reform performance is comforting to the Tories - they point to it as if Reform's votes were the deciding factor - they weren't. They also make it look like that there's right wing votes out there for the taking. I agree they weren't the deciding factor, Tory ineptitude was, but real...

Re: Breaking: Reform surge as Labour claim Super Majority • Post Election Discussion
If they do pick a One Nation leader then I think many right-leaning Tory MPs will bide their time and seek to depose the leader as I read the threshold of letters for removal of the PM is much lower now (18?). Those rules are apparently set to be changed this week during the 1922 Committee meeting....

Worth noting here that the centre ground is not static and not always where politicians/media commentators believe it to be.Margin_Walker wrote: ↑Sun Jul 07, 2024 4:53 pm Yep. Overstatement I think, even it had gone Ireland's way, no guarantees they win. Missed out on a chance to win, certainly.CrazyIslander wrote: ↑Sun Jul 07, 2024 1:59 pm SA played the better rugby but Ireland should've won that. There was a 14 point turnaround involving Lowe which should have gone Ireland's way.

Good race, good to see competition back at the front in F1. Good to see a Brit win at Silverstone. The not so good is Verstappen extends his title lead over Norris.

Former Tory MP for Yeovil declares the party is "dead", and "everybody should move on" Well 80+ of the Remaining (no pun) 121 Tory MPs are One Nation Group, CCHQ is of a similar composition and they will be selecting the candidates for 2029. Re: Springbokke vs Ireland @ Loftus
The more I think about it the more f**king outrageous the Lowe disallowed try was. The f**king guy falls in the ruck with his leg right side of the ball. He’s looking the other way. His leg move towards Irish side either though his own intentional or unintentional movement or because it’s moved by ...

Ireland hung in well and with a bit of luck might've nicked it against a Bok side smarting from their defeat to Ireland at the World Cup. Second test a big opportunity to level the series.

Well this isn't neutral ground, that's why it's harder to win away, officials are influenced by home crowds.
Ireland can console themselves that they beat the Boks on neutral ground.

Amazing result, I think most thought it would be a bridge too far after the effort away in Munster. Great for Scottish rugby and the tournament too.

Didn’t even think it was particularly close. Fury won maybe 4 rounds, for me. Over the moon for Usyk. Pure class in every sense. Doesn’t have power? Myth. Can’t take body shots? Myth . Referee saved Tyson’s arse in the 9th, an opinion shared by multiple current or ex boxers. The best of the current...

I can't get over the idea that any judge could have watched that and given it to Fury. He won a lot of rounds on my score card, and a lot of rounds on the score cards of the 3 judges. It's not outside of the realm of possibility that some would give that to Fury. I gave him a lot of rounds to...

I must've been living under a rock, because this is the first I've heard of "the most infamous punch in five nations history".Came up on Yahoo today... The incident dates back to 1969 when the late Brian Price, often compared to Alun Wyn Jones, delivered what is now known as the most infamous punch ...

Re: Yeah, don't fly boeing planes at the moment
Never heard of CAT causing planes instruments to "black out" before. Anyone? Depends what he meant by "black out". These reports are often grossly exaggerated/sensationalised. Severe turbulance will cause a temporary loss of control and misreadings on the instruments. Also, even if all the electric...
