Re: AUNZ XV v Lions

I think it just reinforces how difficult it is for the Lions to come together every four years and look cohesive, particularly early doors. They got a bit of stick for losing to the Pumas but that result has really been put in perspective. Lions shouldn't be playing a team as strong as Argentina fi...

Re: AUNZ XV v Lions

I just wonder reading some of the comments. Did some of you really think this game was ever going to be a contest? It was (like most Baabaa games) ever going to be more that a run and a giggle. Throw a team together a few days out from a game, and think in some way you will have any kind of structu...

Re: Tier 2 Japan Vs Tier 3 Wayuls - match fred

It was close, Wales were statistically better but Japan sneaking it wouldn't have been a crazy outcome. I think this shows where Wales are though, about at Japan level the rankings don't lie . They lie all the time tbh, but if you lose 18 in a row, you're gonna be down with some tier 2 even if you'...

Tackle bag holding-wise? He'll get minutes midweek. He knows Farrell and all the systems and is at least on par with other options. Dominated the Bulls scrum recently which the Saffas consider the best in club rugby. Leinster and Ireland's next tighthead in waiting. Selection makes sense Didn't kno...

Wales seem to have a pretty good record against Eddie Jones coached sides in the past few years. BTW: I can’t get Stan working, so can’t watch the mini-match (or the second half of the AB France match), but the Welsh can be assured that all Ozzies were supporting Wales. It was close, Wales were sta...

Who coached the backs? They were as impressive and cohesive in attack as I've seen England for a long time. Certainly in the first half, I missed much of the 2nd.

You should be applauding another Irish player making the Lions. He’s been good this season, was a rock for Leinster, barely put a foot wrong. Who are the alternatives? It’s not like he’ll likely be playing a Test.

Farrell played well, and Jones is the only centre of 4 who has put his hand up so far. Owen can play well to a very narrow set of instructions. It could actually happen! Didn't enjoy Farrell's grubbers to nowhere with men outside him. Thought Jac Morgan giving it everything to the end was impressive, not saying he should be starting a test but you like to see that in a player.
