Re: AUNZ XV v Lions
I think it just reinforces how difficult it is for the Lions to come together every four years and look cohesive, particularly early doors. They got a bit of stick for losing to the Pumas but that result has really been put in perspective. Lions shouldn't be playing a team as strong as Argentina fi...

Re: AUNZ XV v Lions
I just wonder reading some of the comments. Did some of you really think this game was ever going to be a contest? It was (like most Baabaa games) ever going to be more that a run and a giggle. Throw a team together a few days out from a game, and think in some way you will have any kind of structu...

I thought farrell said he was going to call up people on merit not geography? Ok maybe they are only there for 1 midweek game but they still lions, still part of the squad now officially. And others possibly more deserving are not.and may never get another chance. Glad Graham made it but yeah even t...

Re: Tier 2 Japan Vs Tier 3 Wayuls - match fred
It was close, Wales were statistically better but Japan sneaking it wouldn't have been a crazy outcome. I think this shows where Wales are though, about at Japan level the rankings don't lie . They lie all the time tbh, but if you lose 18 in a row, you're gonna be down with some tier 2 even if you'...

Re: Lions Lions Lions
Tackle bag holding-wise? He'll get minutes midweek. He knows Farrell and all the systems and is at least on par with other options. Dominated the Bulls scrum recently which the Saffas consider the best in club rugby. Leinster and Ireland's next tighthead in waiting. Selection makes sense Didn't kno...

Re: Tier 2 Japan Vs Tier 3 Wayuls - match fred
Wales seem to have a pretty good record against Eddie Jones coached sides in the past few years. BTW: I can’t get Stan working, so can’t watch the mini-match (or the second half of the AB France match), but the Welsh can be assured that all Ozzies were supporting Wales. It was close, Wales were sta...

Who coached the backs? They were as impressive and cohesive in attack as I've seen England for a long time. Certainly in the first half, I missed much of the 2nd.

Can't be too hard on Steward there if it came off the post, he did kick a break away earlier tho in stead of giving it to Roebuck, annoyingly.

I don't think it's any exaggeration to say that next weekend is going to be the biggest game of Huw Jones' career by a distance. Yeah it’s not like those rugby World Cup 1/4 finals. Huw wouldn't know anyway. Out of interest how many of the remaining English players on tour have won a Grand Slam, a ...

Re: Lions Lions Lions
Farrell played well, and Jones is the only centre of 4 who has put his hand up so far. Owen can play well to a very narrow set of instructions. It could actually happen! Of course it could, his Dad is the coach  OF to one side, with Ringrose out, can Andy Farrell really go Aki-Jones? Surely it...

Re: AUNZ XV v Lions
Didn't enjoy Farrell's grubbers to nowhere with men outside him. Thought Jac Morgan giving it everything to the end was impressive, not saying he should be starting a test but you like to see that in a player. Hansen was effective, but it feels like he's running in treacle at times too. Fortunate he...

Ringrose deserves to be in the team too but imo Russell-Tuipolutu-Jones makes more sense than the Scots 10 paired with the Irish centres.

Smith's playing as a Farrell-level 10 on this tour, very basic, Smith seems to go better in Borthwick's framework. I'm a Farrell fan at 12, but he is not an especially good test 10.
