Re: All Blacks 2025
Beauden is the same with rush defence, it is hard to play when defence is right in your face. Chiefs failed to do that with Reihana. Indeed, as is Mo'unga. It's a shame we only seem to have a certain type of 1st 5, slight and speedy. I'd love to see how we'd go with a Butch James, Handre Pollard or...

Re: 30th Anniversary of RSA's first World Cup*
Managed to secure a signed jersey from 1995 yesterday. Squad, Management Team, Coach and Mandela. https://i.ibb.co/DHfsgw97/c3e0c47d-9434-4d0f-81bc-31994e6f596f.jpg That's awesome. I hope you don't leave it in the sun like the previous caretaker! I know it's a sore point point for Kiwis with the wh...

Re: All Blacks 2025
Yes their forwards have been dominant. And yet none of them would be playing for the Springboks if the SARU had the same amateur-era eligibility rules as NZR. Almost every forward in the Springboks squad is based offshore. Perhaps we should be considering doing what they are doing? Perhaps we shoul...

Yep, he's been worked out... not up to test level. That's literally every 1st 5 who has worn the AB #10 jersey since DC Beauden is the same with rush defence, it is hard to play when defence is right in your face. Chiefs failed to do that with Reihana. Indeed, as is Mo'unga. It's a shame we only se...

Re: All Blacks 2025
Rewatching the magnificent Crusaders final win, and noticed how much pressure the Crusaders put on Dmac, and how many mistakes he made... knock-on's, slicing into touch, missed kicks... French just need to apply the same pressure and Dmax will wilt. Same thing the Blues did, and any number of other...

Re: All Blacks 2025
We have Narawa, Rieko and Carter. I would consider all of them better. Clarke hasn't scored all season and Reece shouldn't be an AB. Neither should Clarke. He clearly struggles to make good choices when under pressure. At least he's fast. What was it? 129kmph in a 50km zone? something like that

I can't believe NZ doesn't have better wingers than Reece and Clarke? Compare them to what France and SA have... we have no pace. We have Narawa, Rieko and Carter. Re: All Blacks 2025
I've been critical of Blackadders selection in the past but he's in career best form imo. His contribution to the Crusaders has been exceptional over the last 5 to 6 weeks. Without him I don't believe the Crusaders win that title. His non selection seems inconsistent and random. Ikr? The only thing...

Re: NBA season 2024/25
Gutted for the Pacers. Those 3 turnovers in a row from McConnell in the 3rd quarter killed them. Terrible luck losing Haliburton like that but that's the breaks. Well deserved championship for the Thunder and particularly for the real MVP, Sam Presti

Re: All Blacks 2025
I disagree that NZR's outdated eligibility rules are not weakening the AB's. And there is clear evidence of our traditional rivals, the Springboks, becoming stronger and more successful by making a similar change. Stop whinging, because something maybe works for SA, doesn't mean it will work for ev...

Re: NBA season 2024/25
Neither team have won it before, but of the two the Thunder have a claim on a previous title (as the Sonics won one). If we're giving OKC credence for the Supersonics title surely we gotta give it to the Pacers for their ABA titles. I'm cheering on Pacers. Gotta back the underdog. Do OKC & the Pace...

Re: All Blacks 2025
Fair enough. There might be hundreds of players but realistically how many of them would likely be in consideration for an AB squad place? They would improve the standard of our SR squads, which would in turn raise the standard of our All Black squad. Even if we did hypothetically retain the 40 bes...

Pacers outgunned them with their defense and pace. Thunder couldn’t get stops or knock down 3s. Jdub and Shai were nullified out there, tough place to win. OKC At home is a different beast though, rooting for the Thunder to take it out Monday. Me too because they've not won it before, and coz Reggi...

Doleman. The NZ Wayne Barnes.
In regards to the cards though NZ players just refuse to learn. They have terrible discipline. You would think after it cost them the World Cup final they'd learn but nope.

Re: All Blacks 2025
I’m a bit concerned about all the talk about Beauden being dead cert as starting first five. His goal kicking is shonky, he was pinned in his own half by the Chief’s territorial kickers for most of the quarterfinal. We’re in trouble if we’re relying on the pace and short kicking of a 34 year old ba...
