Re: League players are no good in Union
Also, what is the reasoning behind putting a gun basketballer at hooker and not lock ... it makes no sense. Your coach sounds like he was an idiot, like my mate who was coaching his primary school mixed league team and put the three smallest girls in the team in the front row. Under another coach y...

Re: League players are no good in Union
Yeah I played union with a guy who was from a league background in HK. No league in HK so this was his only option. He was about 20kg less than me but god he hit hard. Absolute farm boy strong if you know what I mean. Problem was that if the tackle wasn’t directly in front then he was a bit at sea ...

Re: League players are no good in Union
I played hooker in both sports. I always preferred playing League because I felt more involved and the game felt faster. There were things i liked and disliked about both games. Ultimately everyone will feel differently but that is up for each individual to decide. That's a weird comparison. If you...

Re: League players are no good in Union
That’s something I hear, but I never got bored playing rugby when I didn’t personally have the ball. There’s plenty of stuff to do and think about, right? I played hooker in both sports. Re: League players are no good in Union
Why would players get bored in Union? They get to play a significantly more varied role. Manu won’t be restricted to a 10m channel on the same side of the field. He won’t be coached to react to “pictures” and will have to think for himself. The real question is will he be able to do it after almost...

Havilli at 10, due to Razor's request. Have the Sadists ever won against decent opposition with him starting at 10? I have much more faith in him even playing out of position than I do with any of the other options. The best thing about having him there is his experience and his leadership. Last we...

Re: League players are no good in Union
Half ack ftom leahue to union would be unsuitable because space is given to the leahue halfback to pass. They usually take a step. You need to pass off the ground from union. It's down to the individual but habits is hard to change. The closest to a straight swap would be RL hooker to RU scrum-half...

Do the SR clubs get a cent from beer sales? Doesn’t the catering company that owns that contract make all of rhe beer money at SR games? No. Correct. They don't even want beer at games. I once played for a team that had a 10 who couldn't run and a fullback who couldn't kick. They were incredible at switching positions needed. The fullback ended up playing 6 nations for a few years. Maybe the Wallabies could do the same but it would take 2 very intelligent players.
