Re: NZ Politics Thread
Just to add re you comments Terangi48, It worries me that there seems to be a push to socialise costs and responsibilities in relation to business activities. What ever happened to user pays but more importantly, operators being responsible and being held accountable for their actions? Is the order...

Tangentially related - but this conversation reminded me of 'felix Von luckner' who during WW1 took a three masted sailing ship to war in a time of Dreadnaughts... He also gave rise to one of the most colourful Wikipedia pages I've ever stumbled across. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Felix_von_Luckn...

In terms of investing, I tend to stay away from trying to pick stocks. I’m very cynical on public markets and what information is disclosed to the average punter. My brother is a partner at a long/short equity hedge fund and he’ll happily admit (after a couple of beers of course) that no one really...

Yeah, we wouldn't nearly be approaching those numbers, two or three maybe. But we are in Welly (Lower Hutt to be precise), so generally no shortage of wind and not alot obstructing air-flow on the valley floor. Our building is also a little higher than the surrounding houses. The turbines would be ...

f**ked the NCR stuff up. My only genuine complaint. The NCR are my favourite Fallout faction. Just seemed lazy, like they weren't arsed dealing with anything that wasn't fallout 4 raider stuff. Got to remember they weren't guaranteed season 2 - they have to make a changes to generate enough demand ...

ROP? Rings Of Power, LOTR. Oh right. Video game nerds probably have much lower expectations, tbf. Other than the Last of Us live action game adaptations have been total dogshit since forever. I played Fallout 3 a long time ago. Very enjoyable game with a surprisingly good ending. I've watched 1.5 episodes of the new show. It's not bad. As usual it's woke but what isn't. I think some of the violence is over the top also. The visuals are very impressive. Give yourself an uppercut mate

Not sure how they managed to do it but the Ukrainians shot down a Tu-22M3 strategic bomber near Stavropol. https://twitter.com/Osinttechnical/status/1781178675045552537?t=gNF_kcGbfh0AVvHO_BaEow&s=19 I am amazed at the slow pace at which the plane is falling, almost like a leaf in the ait. And I've been looking at domestic/small commercial wind turbines. From what I've heard the main reason domestic turbines haven't taken off is the much lower wind speed at the height small turbines can reach. Utilities install 100m turbines for that reason as well as or enonomies of scale. Solar OTO...

I love war and westerns of this era. Seen a bunch. You just have to get used to the depiction of 'indians' as primitive and dim. Its a downward spiral on cultivating racism. Here are a few westerns. I've started with the must-see classics then gone by actor rather than director. And I'm purposefull...

Channel 7 really has jumped into bed with some genuine c**ts in recent time. First Ben Roberts Smith and now Bruce Lehrmann.
