Re: Italy VS England - semi official thread

Heresy- I didn’t even think Italy had a good game by their recent standards, was expecting more. Totally agree with you; having the 1st and 2nd choice at SH out has costed us dearly, Garbisi jr is utter shite and gifted 7 points at the end of first half. Brex was back but did not train while in Arg...

Re: Ireland v Italy thread, The Valentines day disappointment

I think if italy took the points from pens earlier in the game they'd have rattled Ireland more. The TMO disallowed try was 50 50 for me and in a better era would've been let go. Consolations Italy. Great players in that team. Osborne had another great game as did Izzy and Bob. Edwin added bulk tha...

Re: Italy v Australia

It's not about coasting but Schmidt is all about small margins in a game that's already about small margins. Lose focus for whatever reason (mental exhaustion ended up being the problem with Ireland) and that quickly becomes a problem. Didn't see this game and maybe doing Italy a discredit talking ...

Very happy with the second half performance, a lot less with the result. We knew we have had a solid U20 team for a few years now, finally getting more and more evidence of that at senior level. We played yesterday with 2 uncapped players, 7 players with less than 5 caps and 7 with less than 15; not...

For the first time i 24 years, I can understand the statement: “Yeah you scored some tries in the end but the match was over”. From conceding 150+ pts against the ABs and France at the RWC to 2 wins and a draw in France in less than 6 months. Most remarkable turnaround in the sport's history. I think that something went on in the last two games in the Italian camp. We are certainly inferior to AB and France, but we didn’t ...

Great game. Should be 2Ws if not some crap ref decision on the final kick in the Fra game. Forza Azzurri! They should have beaten England too. Law 8.21 The kick must be taken within 60 seconds (playing time) from the time the team indicated their intention to do so, even if the ball rolls over and has to be placed again.
