Re: The Official Irish Rugby Thread

I know McCarthy is a young lad but his performance levels declined throughout the 6Ns. Might need a wee bit more of a recharge. Also with Ryan out, wouldn't want to risk him unnecessarily. Jenkins can hopefully find a big performance against his old team. Declined is an understatement- he looked sc...

Re: The best new and returning TV series of 2024?

Season 2 of Tokyo Vice has been out for a month and I didn't even know. Apparently HBO are deliberately not promoting it, which is very odd. Decent show, my kids got me into it. One they've spoken highly of is 3 Body Problem (Netflix), but reckon their love for sci-fi genre might exceed mine. Will ...

Re: URC 2023/24 General match thread

Good weekend for Stormers and Munster, with Ulster, Connacht, Edinburgh and Benetton all dropping points. If Cardiff could've held on against Glasgow it would've been a perfect weekend. Ditto Lions. They played themselves back into the play offs. Sharks also jumped from the bottom. If they keep it ...

No. He is not. Nor are you. Carrier never reduced his height. No matter if he is one inch off the grass, if he does not drop his height, there is SFA mitigation and onus is on tackler not to make head contact.

Nah. As I say: not seeing any development in any of our forward's personal games.

Maybe 'any' is harsh, because their willingness and ability to play looser has indeed developed, but it appears to be at the expense of, well: being a forward.

I wonder if the MAGA morons in the US congress will start parroting Kremlin propaganda and blame Ukraine too? Or is it too far fetched even for them? No they will blame Ukraine. We are playing like individuals. I get that there's a project underway, partly driven by a desire to broaden our attacking game and partly by what has been a seriously debilitating injury list (compounded by self-driven sub optimal development/recruitment/retention), but it seems to have come at the...

Munster escape with the win. The early 3 tries was the difference. Performance wise its another very poor showing with the exception of the defending. I'd take issue with the latter. A more accurate side than Ospreys would have done our defence. That made for depressing viewing. WTF is going on wit...

Another game where we get a 4 try BP yet have every chance of losing. From a winning position.

And every bloody opponent we face knows this full well.

We've become the team that gives every mug a break.

That's a DNA change I do not like.

Our pack are muck. Utter muck. All season long we have struggled to impose ANY control over games. And there are NO signs of improvement.

I am beginning to think it has been foolish to cut so much slack over the injury situation.

This is fcuking gack. Too many empty shirts in that pack.

This is really concerning. That scoreboard will turn - should turn. Such an odd half of rugby.
