Re: Proposed Rugby Law Changes
Stricter policing of on feet at the ruck for both sides would solve a lot of ruck problems I reckon. If you went with shoulder's above hips for jacklers it'd take either a quick & excellent bit of jackling or an isolated carrier to turn the ball over. At the same time player's wouldn't need to dive ...

Re: The Official and ONLY Ireland v Wales Match thread
Bit annoying when the ref arbitrarily decides to start calling ruck off feet when he ignores it for 95% of the match. Particularly when one of the times he does call it, it's an oppo player tackling your guy off the ball and throwing him into the tackle/ruck that gets the call. They should just rewr...

The standing still thing was Finn Russell taking the piss, because, well he is Finn Russell. My own opinion is all it accomplished was to allow the French backline to set up their kick defence properly each time. I've also just seen the Fickou incident for the first time since the match, and never ...

Thats as clear cut a Wales pen as anything Disagree. He stopped and Dyer jumped into him. What was he meant to do? Teleport? He gave up on contesting the ball, switched focus to Dyer and wandered through Dyer's legs. Fairly blatant. If he's contesting the ball and he's not going to jump he could at...

You couldn't see the line on the angle that showed the ball clearest on the ground, plus as others have said it was held up in a previous carry and should have been called then. Bit brutal though.

The hopping goose step is clumsy at best and no matter how much I watch the second angle I don't see any noticable change in the path his boot takes coming down on Bealham's head. I think Bealham's copping the studs regardless of Sinckler's flapping leg. Shoddy reversal to my mind but these panels a...

Since it's been picked up on multiple planes at two airlines you've got to think it's some sort of systemic issue rather than simple carelessness. I think it's a bit daft to card those when WR and refs have decided that flopping or exocetting into the ruck isn't even a penalty until someone gets hurt or it's the last 5 minutes.

Was she convicted of assaulting a police officer? The posted articles don't seem to cover that but a number of posters are treating that part as fact.
I'm not sure knocking an officer's glasses off their face after they break into your home to perform a welfare check would merit a prosecution.

Enforce the laws as written and most problems are eased. Lineout mauls are too easy to form - the jumper rarely gets a hand laid on them before the ball's been palmed off to someone else. Should be pinged but isn't. Jackaling should be players clearly supporting their own body weight only (shoulders...

Yep - only objection I've got is when the attacking side kicks it into goal and a defender dots it down. I'd still prefer that to be a drop out 22 (as it is for missed pens or drop goals). That one punished aimless long kicks a bit more.
