Looking forward to seeing how Matty Young goes - his tries last week in the SRC were fantastic. Glad to see he's been rewarded for his good form. The only downside is Beetham being switched back to the wing. Malan at 12 is interesting and at some point seeing Emanuel and Malan as the centre combo is...

Much as I like Olly Cracknell, honest trier and workhorse that he is, I'd rather we were looking at guys with more x factor. I'd go Wainwright at 8, despite Leicester's preference for him at 6, and then either Alex Mann, Taine Plumtree if fit, or Ryan Woodman if he keeps developing over the next yea...

Really good win. Quite inaccurate but created a lot. Tuitavuki looks like a great signing. Enari, Levi, Peita and Angus to come back in. We're playing a better brand of rugby too. Very positive. Yes, those inaccuracies are going to hurt when the Dragons come up against the top tier teams. Definitel...

I wouldn't get too excited - a very young, raw Scarlets side. However, I would say, watching the highlights, there were some nice tries where our attacking shape and handling were beautiful. Whether we can translate that into a higher intensity game remains to be seen but positive signs. What I enjo...

"Few humans have earned the title of honorary Muppet more than the legendary Tim Curry." Penguin's optimism never fails us.............even when faced with this upcoming disaster I'm back from holiday - the point here is that I have enough imagination (including 100 point drubbings where our props need to be surgically removed from our second row) to have no expectation and therefore c...

The WRU on the other hand, I don't have the imaginative power to forsee all the ways they can disappoint. It's extraordinary - almost like performance art with a £100 million company at their disposal.

penguin

I still look forward to it...excited might be a bit much. The thing about this match is that there is absolutely no expectation. There's not too much they can do to really disappoint. Oh sweet summer child...I fear you don't have a sufficiently active imagination if you can't think of ways they can...

Can you clarify here - are you talking about Steff E and who is ODL? Our 13, Osian Darwin-Lewis Our U20s centres gave me hope and reasoning why we'll eventually get rid of Jennings and Ben Jennings is already gone, no? Argentina match was a tough watch. There are some good bits about this team, but until we learn to do something ball in hand other than artlessly smashing it up we're going to struggle to be anything other than gritty. South Africa next week will be a brutal end to the season. Under 20s was fun thou...

Jarrod back to Cardiff which means Lloyd will on his way I'd take him in a heartbeat at the Dragons - 25, versatile, one of the most talented ball players in Wales and in his last few outings at 10 for Cardiff he showed more maturity and balance in his game, alongside the stardust stuff that he's a...

Is that an Osian perchance?

Osian Darwin-Lewis. But he wasn't the only Osian to be Oceaned.

Our penalty count just gave them way too many chances. Shame as it's largely been a decent performance.

I like Beetham but he needs to have a good season at 15 to prove he can step up to international level. He's played a handful of games (and was looking increasingly good) but not at 15 for the most part. It's tough to see how we resolve it in the next year satisfactorily unless this Isaac Murray McG...

I think James is a good enough ball player to play that role at 12 and give us that physical edge too. It might require some work to give us a second kicking option because I haven't seen him do that much, but given Hawkins kicking (and choice of when to kick) I don't think it's that much of a downg...

They were cutting us to pieces at will.

Yes but to be fair they can do that to almost anyone.

penguin

Obviously we all agree that Hawkins at 12 is not the answer, but I thought he showed why he can't play 10. In a game of few opportunities he took the wrong option so often - incredibly lucky that Fiji f**ked up. I don't know what we need to see for a change to be made but Tandy is going to keep him ...
