Scarlets calling in the cavalry....they've signed a number 8, Fletcher Anderson from NZ, and then had to sign two locks on loan, Harvey Cuckson and Stormers' Alex Groves. Cuckson is Welsh qualified, plays for Bath, Groves is apparently 6'9, which is no indication of quality but at least he's not a b...

Re: The Official Welsh Rugby Thread

The Shartlets have the worst pack in Wales. By far. Probably the worst in pro rugby. The West Wayuls teams need to merge. Only Dregs could look at another Welsh region being blanked by 34 points and say "hold my pint - we can do a lot worse". I'm not even laughing though. Welsh rugby. Having watche...

To lost Paea and Douglas so quickly and both likely for a while, it's pretty gutting. Two players that looked as advertised.

Considering this is a b team they're doing ok... But need to sharpen up in attack. Pretty toothless.

If you look at what we expected from those games; Cardiff beating Lions at home - they did and played a good brand of rugby. In summary of the opening weekend: Plus ca change. 4 games, 3 losses, very few high points. I loved the style of rugby Cardiff played. Lots of intelligent movement and passing. They gave the crowd plenty to enjoy. I'd love to see the dragons play with that ambition.

I know the lions were pretty crap but they're still a hugely physical team and they still needed to be put away. Good win.
