What about that lad from Gloucester the Saes are poaching - Josh Hathaway. Has he gone full blown Saes now? Hathaway. He did choose England under 20s which got Byron Hayward chuntering last year,. He doesn't seem the biggest, not quite Stephens small, but not a big guy by any stretch and his defenc...

Wales online talking up Iwan Stephens. Plays wing and full back, elusive and quick....but 5'7. He better be bloody good at that height. Playing in that Newcastle team I can see where WOL are coming from Hasn't he already committed to England. I grew up with his Dad, Colin. But his mother is saes, a...

Re: The Official Welsh Rugby Thread
I think Ellis Jenkins was a McCaw type player, in the sense that he wasn't physically as gifted as some others but was tough as hell and smarter than most. He was quicker into position than the majority of players because he was an exceptional reader of the game and then made great decisions in thos...

Ellis Jenkins retiring. Sad news... Super player, very smart and very unlucky to pick up that injury after an incredible performance for Wales that looked like the arrival as an international.

Didn’t watch the ospreys, imagine it’s the final nail in Owen Williams career, at club level at least jack Walsh esque players are far better than biggar lites. You have to imagine offloading anscombe, awj, lydiate, BBBD, Baldwin, Francis and Webb allowed them to offload some serious high earners w...

Really poor half. Bring on Coughlan, Arhip, Wainwright asap and get the likes of Lydiate off. He's unable to do much except give away dumb penalties these days. Shore up the scrum, bring some more dynamism to our carrying and see how that goes. Don't remember the last time I saw blacker do anything ...

I think carre's effort was a knock on so fair enough on that one. I thought the Thomas young non try was a kick out of his hands. If you accidentally kick a ball out of a ruck it would still be a penalty, so whatever the tackler intended that was the result. Seems like it should have been looked at....

Re: The Official Welsh Rugby Thread
If we can sign two locks and a tighthead I'll be relatively happy. After that, and depending on whether Roberts stays, another hooker would be the next priority, then loosehead. An out and out 8 for when Wainwright is away with Wales would be good.
Also, coaches. Defence coach needed first up.

Re: The Official Welsh Rugby Thread
Ospreys have looked sharper with Dan Edwards at ten, rather than Owen Williams. At one point I thought he was a good stop gap for Wales but he's really not playing well enough to demand the ospreys shirt let alone a Welsh one. Shame for the ospreys but their attack is always hit and miss. Hard worki...

I reckon whoever we pick in the centres may well look better just for the fact we're likely to be picking a pack with the likes of Lake, Faletau and Morgan who should put us on the front foot a bit more. Playing with width, and therefore a footballing 12, then isn't such an issue, so Tompkins or Ben...

Jack Dixon retires at 29. A Dragons stalwart from the age of 16, ridiculously young age really. Good luck to him.
We're getting a bit light on centres now though. Ackerman is going to need to come through fast.

Exeter won, despite the impediment of our lads. Did they improve second half? Max Llewellyn scored a cracker yesterday. His bread and butter carry off the back of a lineout... I originally supported the Warriors, so it wouldn't be the first time I had to change region. Watched the Scarlets game (skimmed through)...bloody hell that was bad. No shame in being beaten by Glasgow - they are a really well oiled machine right now - but Scarlets barely fired a shot. He put up really good numbers without producing the dominant, attack ending tackles or lineout steals that would mark him out as top tier. But that said he was still on the positive column for me. Still very young and has the right attitude I think.
